I used this under a t shirt so not to have a crazy looking contraption on top of my shirt. The magnets held my DJI Osmo action 3 very well riding thru some CHUNK! I love that I can pop it off and put in my pack while driving to the trail, climbing up the trail and just pop it back on and the camera angle is where I set it and no having to make sure the angle is still good ðŸ‘ðŸ»

Hi, just a quick review. Everything other reviews says is true. It's nice quality and the magnet is really strong. I was looking to make walking videos for YouTube and I found this chest mount will give you the up and down bouncy type video when you walk, so I will probably need a gimbal to get smoother footage. I just want to save other people time if they are hoping this will give them smooth walking footage. cheers!

This is a great action cam chest mount. The magnet is super strong and makes for easy camera accessibility without using the standard screw mount. I usually wear it under a light jacket or hoodie and have to issue with the magnet feeling like it is going to detach.For the price, I don't think you'll go wrong!

So first of all I thought is was strong out the box, then first trip ever taking it casually fishing around and iy just falls of the magnets straight into the water which was insanely frustrating, so I realized that it’s super strong if you’re pulling it straight off, but if hit from any of the sides it just slides of with a small knock of your elbow or hand and you’ll loose it forever, if you’re doing real activity’s absolutely do not buy if you want to buy more GoPros in the future, and I should have read the comments myself before purchasing because other dude in the comments said when he bikes with it, and ever hits it lightly by accident it just fall off. So just go get one without a magnet!

I purchased this for mountain biking and did not tighten the straps tight enough during the first two rides, so the footage was really shaky - even with stabilization enabled on the GoPro 13.I then continued testing and ended up settling on all the straps being tightened all the way. I’m 5’11â€, 200lbs, so my chest is not very small. However, to stop this mount from shaking during heavy impact use, the straps had to be tightened all the way, and I really mean all the way. This unfortunately had the effect of bringing the chest pad, which is a fairly small triangle, closer to my head along with the camera, which compromised my shooting angle. It was also pretty uncomfortable to feel so constrained while wearing it, let alone climbing uphill on a mountain bike for miles with it.Also, because the chest pad is small, the shoulder straps do not come down the chest vertically, but rather at a steep diagonal angle because they must meet at the top of the small triangular chest pad, which causes them to chaffe the neck the more the shoulder straps are tightened.I think if they made the chest pad larger like the GoPro chesty or the Sametop chest mount, it would likely be more comfortable to wear, and perhaps have more stability during heavy impact use.The magnet system is actually quite useful, especially because it’s in two parts. One part is the triangular magnet base that STRONGLY attaches to the chest pad, and the other round piece that clicks into the magnetic base, is also magnetic and the GoPro is bolted onto that piece. The small piece conveniently detaches with two side-locking buttons and latches securely for use, either horizontally or vertically, being drawn into the magnetic base with its own strong magnets. It’s easy to unlatch the small round mount from the chest pad to take your camera off your chest to view footage or camera settings.If they just make the chest pad larger in another iteration, this mount might be perfect since you can perform high impact sports but also attach the magnet over your clothing if you’re shooting video at an event of some kind and don’t want to wear the harness outside your clothing.And the magnet system is very secure. I rode through extreme rock gardens and the straps weren’t even tight enough, but the camera - even though it was bouncing all over the place - never shifted on the chest pad or fell off. I highly recommend this if you’re just hiking or need to easily attach an action camera over your clothing.Again, the main problem is stability in high impact activities, with the small chest pad being a likely contributor. Secondarily, the shoulder straps cutting into the neck is also a negative. I’ll keep my eye on their next generation designs. Hopefully they’ll improve it.
