I had some large holes in wood that needed filling and used this file to smooth the filler. The file worked well and got into corners easily. It is sharp enough to smooth the filler and takes a little off at a time and it does not gouge the filler or the wood.

Lighter duty than I like. Harder wood really bends the blade. Not surprising for the price though.

I use these for trimming pottery. Nice price comparing to Lowe's or home Depot. They put the metal part in upsidedown. Had to remove and put in correctly

I use this after trimming goat feet to give them a nice flat surface on the underside, works great! You have to pull in one direction, but very effective and safer than trimming too close. Inexpensive, highly recommend!

This product is cheaply made. By the time you make enough wood shavings with this product you could of used your knife and had the fire started already. I do not recommend.

I have a set of traditional metal and some wood files. But I needed something small for the jobs around the house. Specifically helping me with some old Bondo repair work, which needs additional work. This handy small file does the job. I read the reviews beforehand and saw the complaint regarding the direction of the cut. The description says that it works on pull motion, but the metal grill was assembled to work on push motion. I popped it off, reversed it, and put it back on the plastic handle. Now the file works on pull motion, as it was supposed to be.Don’t expect a heavy-duty file, this is a light-duty file which works very well. It is easy to clean, and even as I applied pressure, I didn’t feel that the handle would crack.

It shows it in the product images too but the blade comes backwards for some reason. If you pry it off and flip it around it'll actually file "on the pull stroke".

I use the to carve foam for train layout. These are garbage next to a brand name one.

We were looking for something to shave wood from a hardwood door frame. This worked well.

I think the grater was out on the wrong way. You have to push it away from you as opposed to pulling towards you. It could be a personal preference.

Listing says “ Easy to Use: Omninmo mini file works on the pull stroke.â€Not true. You have push or turn it around and hold the head to engage.I’ve returned it

It is okay but the blade is not as aggressive or sharp as a Stanley and it was installed backwards. It should cut on the pull stroke.
