We have a Roland FP-10 keyboard that came with a simple plastic 'clamshell' style pedal. Now that my daughter is a few years into her piano studies, that isn't cutting it. This CAIHONG pedal was a huge hit - it worked immediately upon plugging it in & flipping the polarity switch. It looks & feels like a real pedal (with a nice level of spring tension), has a well-supported base to prevent it from flipping, and doesn't slide away while playing despite being relatively light. It does make a slight clicking noise when pressed, but not enough to be a distraction except when playing in very quiet surroundings. All told, this is a fantastic upgrade value if you're still working with a basic factory pedal - both my daughter and I are enjoying the significant upgrade in playability.

Can barely reach the floor straight down. If you have a kbd stack it wont reach . Also If you have several together it wont reach side to side. I had to cut and solder more wire on each one. Lot Of time and work

Purchased to use with our Casio PD-160. It's a sustain pedal. If you know how to play with one then you'll appreciate this. It's worth it. My daughter is getting back into playing piano again so she wanted one.

The build quality of this pedal is sturdy, and it works well with both my Korg B1 electric piano and Arturia Minilab 3 midi controller. It doesn’t pass through to record midi in Ableton Live 11, however this is an issue I’ve had with all pedals and seems to be specific to Ableton, rather than to this particular pedal. It’s a great replacement to the rubber pedal that came with my Korg B1, as it feels more legit and natural to play.

I wanted to pick up a sustain pedal for my old 1980’s Casio keyboard, which I was absolutely positive had a ¼†input like this one does. Unfortunately, I was mistaken and it can’t connect to my Casio. I’m unable to test it on our new Strich keyboard either, as that one uses a 5-pin cable. As a result, I can only review this based on the build quality. It feels well-made overall. The plastic and metal components are fairly robust, and the pedal itself has a nice action; neither too soft or too firm. The connecting cable is a tad thin, but the approximately 4’ length should be adequate for most uses. The listing says it comes with a non-slip rubber mat on the bottom, but mine must have been shipped without it. The bottom is just plastic, making it likely to slip around on many surfaces during use.Since I can’t test its performance, assigning a rating is difficult. I decided to give it 4 stars based on the overall build quality, from which I subtracted 0.5 stars for the missing rubber mat. $20.99 is a decent price for a pedal like this, but you can find a number of similar products selling for less on Amazon. It might not be a bad idea to shop around a little before buying. My rating: 3.5 stars

I tested with a Yamaha E363 keyboard. Having used pedals like this before I knew what to expect. The pedal is essentially an on/off switch for sustain. This is all most beginner and mid-range keyboards will support. As such it does the job perfectly well, and I'm happy with it, but there are some flaws to be aware of.Pros- Full sized pedal.- Feels reasonably solid for a plastic pedal.- Manufacturing tolerances are good - it fits and I wasn't worried about damaging the keyboard.- Reliable. Sustain activated each time I fully pressed the pedal.Cons- Pedal has to be pressed down all the way against the spring to activate the sustain.- Cord length is adequate but little more length would have been nice.- You would do well to add rubber to the bottom as the 4 small feet at the bottom were not holding the pedal well on tile.- The pedal is noisy, making squeaking and clacking sound. This could be improved with a bit of rubber and glue but you shouldn't need to do that.- Underside of the pedal is a little sharp. It's possible to catch your toe and give yourself a small cut. If this is a concern you could probably sand this down easily (voiding any kind of warranty) or cover with tape, but again you shouldn't need to do that. I'm happy to just leave it.

I have this plugged into my Launchkey Mini MK3 midi keyboard controller for a DAWless setup that really benefits from expression (A Roland S-1 compact feeding into a few guitar pedals) and the performance has been excellent. The switch itself is easy to step on and the effect of holding notes transmitted from my controller to the synthesizer is flawless. The cable cord is long enough that I can snake it throughout my setup. No issues with quality or function at all, it is a simple device but the usage it brings to my music lab is greatly appreciated.
