This is a very nice magnetic compass, it is a good size, large enough to read easily without being cumbersome, it seems riobust and well-made, the scales are easy to read with crisp and clear markings and the needle is responsive but slightly dampes, which gives a stabke reading quickly. I would say that I would buy it again but I suspect that this will outlast me.

Good sturdy plastic base. Bezel moves around nicely for setting direction. This will get used this July at Boy Scout summer camp so we will see how it holds up to hiking and daily usage.

This is an excellent choice as an entry level compass. Affordable, but a lot better quality than the million $5 ones here on Amazon. Once I'm experienced with this, I may go for the standard Suunto model someday.

I use these compasses for teaching a Maps & Orienteering class to elementary school students. They are easy to use and the students get to keep them when they're done.

A basic, but very accurate, well-made compass. No levelling bubble on it, but it's fairly easy to level without one. It would have been nice to have had a protective pouch included, but for this price you can always buy one if you need one.

You will see that the quality of this compass is on the far end. For me ill rather pay a bit more for a durable product.

Simple to use. I set up my equitorial telescope mount on first use with this, adjusting for magnetic deviation, and Polaris was in the polarscope first time!

I wanted a good entry compass that had value and quality for the price. Eventually I will get a universal compass with all the bells and whistles but this will more than suffice while I am on the learning curve.
