The diagonal was surpisingly well built for the price, its made of plastic but still feels solid, no rattling or anything like that. On an ST80 I did not discern any difference in brightness or detail on M42 when comparing the view with the diagonal and no diagonal so for wide views it works perfectly. I imagine it works great on planets but if you own a nice refractor you need a better diagonal than this, although this would make for a perfect inexpensive spare.

This was purchased to replace the diagonal that came with an old, but unused, donated (I'm a school teacher) Meade 80mm Adventure Scope. The Meade diagonal was likely very much out of alignment and it prevented any meaningful astronomic observation.The SVBONY product was inexpensive, arrived as described, packaged well, and quickly. It improves the view so the telescope is easily usable for wide field 'sweeping' at low magnification. I see absolutely nothing wrong with this product, but my knowledge and experience is limited, so I do not feel confident making an unqualified recommendation.This is a five star decent inexpensive diagonal for an beginner, inexpensive telescopes that need an upgrade. At this price, I will buy more to replace any diagonals that fail on our school telescopes,

It’s not a TeleVue, but for the money it’s not bad. I bought this as part of a project to improve an inexpensive telescope that came with a worthless 45 degree prism, three acceptible kellner eyepieces, and a pointless Barlow. With this diagonal and the kellners it’s an inexpensive and reasonably rugged scope I can loan to neighbors to introduce them to visual astronomy.

Quality product that fits the Skywatcher telescope and color filters. Makes it easier to see than the 45^ angle that came with the scope.

This makes the image clearer and sharper through my Celestron 70DX travel scope than the erect image diagonal prism that came with it. The only drawback is I have to place my Barlow lens behind it rather than in front of it in order to see through it which can make things tricky when stacking them at a 90° angle. Still, I'm satisfied and it performs even better than expected

Reasonable quality Star diagonal of mirror type. A purchase for the replacement diagonal for a telescope acquired second hand and on hand spares. No visible vices or distortions to image when used. Please this is a mirror type star diagonal not a glass prism type star diagonal of the roof prism or porro-prism type.
