The camera is very easy to set up and use. I don't yet have the USB 3.0 port on my laptop, but the camera worked fine thru my 2.0 ports. As specified, I installed SharpCap 3.2 and the camera was recognized right away. I tested it through a small telescope with terrestrial objects to become familiar with the capture controls. I was able to work with my 10" Meade LX200 classic several nights, but I want to get it out more if these tropical storms will quit coming through VA. I used the camera at prime focus, both with and without a 2X Barlow. I got better results without so far, especially since I found that my scope is out of collimation and size just exacerbates poor alignment. I took lots of capture clips of up to 2 minutes, which for Mars resulted in around 4000 frames to work with (less for Saturn since I needed a longer exposure). Instead of using Registax, I stacked them with Autostakkert, which IMHO is far easier to work with than Registax. I then used Registax to do some wavelet processing, but given the poor seeing conditions and my scope's poor collimation, the results are still blurred. Not the fault of the camera, which brought out what it could from poor raw material. I have done a daylight collimation and am waiting for the next clear night to check it out and refine as necessary. I planned on using this camera as a stopgap measure until I get a better one, but so far I don't think I will need to upgrade.Update: I like the camera a lot, but it has two things that I don't like:1. The barrel is too short for the setscrew to hit in some of my eyepiece holders, so it it hard to secure.2. I hate hate hate the USB cable, which is so stiff that if I do anything with my laptop, the vibration travels up the cable to the camera and shakes it. Not a problem of the camera itself. I will have to get a cable with braided wires.Update 2-25-23: I still am having good success with the camera, and wanted to add some more recent pix (Fall 22 thru present) They should be the better looking ones.

I bought this Camera for Planetary imaging and the results are good. This is not for nebulas or galaxies or any of that. I connected the camera with the cable that comes in the box to my computer and it worked fine. No problems with connection and easy to use. For the picture quality, you have the option for high quality but at 15fps which it’s not too good for planetary since you want lots of frames but you can still get 30fps if you record at a lower resolution. This camera zooms in a lot so you might want to get a focal reducer. Other than that the Camera is good for imaging planets or the moon, maybe some bright nebula.

This camera is a bit disappointing, but at the price it is fine for terrestrial viewing, not so good at celestial use. Used at prime focus, it has a high magnification due to the higher pixel count, it is difficult to open a wider field, I added a focal reducer with limited success. I find the choma balance across the image plane to be hot in the middle and weaker at the edges, yielding an unbalanced image. If you really want to use for planet photography, might want to look at other products.

So while this camera is more convenient and easier to set up I get better video and pictures from mounting my cell phone to the back of my telescope for no other reason than camera quality. I get this isn't the most expensive camera but I'm using a 5 year old cell phone and the camera quality is FAR better. Even the video taken with this SVbony seems slightly choppy. As another reviewer said I've bought a lot of SVbony lenses and accessories that I've been happy with but probably should have skipped this one and I'm not sure if I would want to try anymore of their electronics. The only reason I went with this camera was because they say you can make it work with cell phones which you can but you have to make sure your cell phone is compatible and you have to buy an adapter plug that doesn't come with the camera (would be nice if they included it). Also probably a good idea to get an adapter plug that allows you to plug in the camera along with a power bank because this thing will drain your battery quick.

I thought I had an issue with this product and with the great help from the support team at SVBony we got the issue resolved. They pulled all the strings to help find the issue and it was down to the user (me) that had hit a wrong setting. Thanks again to the team at svbony for your help and patience.

This is not a ZWO camera and for the price you can't really expect it to be. However it works reliably and produces fairly good planetary images
