Picked this bag up for wooded sword tai chi play. It's great for my usage. Holds two swords with slip separator, tip pockets, and velcro handle restraints. The extra pockets on the outside are great for a Chir, or other notes and items. Fellow students have also commented on its great functionality and sturdiness. I suggest this to other students and would buy again.

Based on other reviews, I was concerned that this bag wouldn't be long enough for my two 41.5" polypropylene bokken-katana. I'm very pleased that they do, but just barely, with the zippers still closing efficiently without straining the material. Head's up though - anything, even a quarter of an inch longer, wouldn't fit. There is only a very little padding for between the swords and no leather end caps, so this bag will work best for wooden or polypropylene bokken, as sharp steel swords could puncture the canvas or get scratched up laying side by side with one another . That said, for my purposes, the design and construction of this bag are very well done!, made with good canvas, good zippers, nice pouches, and practical well made carry handles and a shoulder strap that can actually be worn cross chest fashion. Perfect for the dojo.

I love this bag! I have had numerous sword bags that didn't hold up. This bag is well made. It has space for multiple swords. A divider to protect the swords from banging against each other and Velcro straps to secure the swords. It also has a pocket on the outside that holds my steel fighting fan and a mesh water bottle holder. Another big plus for me is that it has two sets of carrying straps. A shoulder strap and handles so you can carry it like a gym bag. This is a great bag! The price was very good! The bag is about 41" inches long and will hold swords about 41" or shorter.

This sword bag fit my katana perfectly. In fact, I have managed to fit several weapons inside, and it currently holds:*Katana on one side of the main section*2 eskrima sticks and a 3-section staff in the other side*2 nunchaku and 1 plastic knife in the larger side pocket*Wooden dummy gun in the smaller side pocketIt does the job of keeping my gear secure satisfactorily. However, there are several improvements I would have preferred to have:1) The case has a velcro/elastic strap about 2/3 the way up to secure the sword in place and a pocket the tip of the sheath slides into at the bottom of the case. I would have added a second strap 1/3 the way up, as many of the other weapons I put in here are too small for the strap that's there right now.2) The case has a cloth separating the two halves of the main section to keep things from scratching each other. I would have made this cloth just a bit larger.3) The strap is skinny and short. It works to carry over your shoulder, but it isn't very comfortable. A larger, adjustable strap would be preferred.4) A velcro handle on one of the smaller handles so you can combine the two together.5) The clear name-tag pouch feels very cheap. A piece of vinyl or fabric over the edge of the clear plastic would make that section feel a bit better.6) Maybe a little bit of a stand on one end.Overall, this bag carries what I need it to. The construction is solid and it holds all of my weapons for my martial arts class. I just wish it had a few of these features.

This is a good bad for carrying multiple types of equipment. I just wished it was a bit more sturdy or that the sides held their shape a bit more. If you dont have equipment that fits the entire length, it gets very slouchy.

I'm really liking the two areas the swords slide into. I especially appreciate a divider between the two sections that protects my one handmade, wooden jian from scratches.I've only had it for a couple of months, but no problems have cropped up. It seems to be a tough bag. Now, if only my miao dao could fit. So, it sticks out. You can't have everything.

The only case that my master recommends. I have space inside for three swords; two mokkums and a kagum (I practice Haidong Gumdo - basically two wooden practice swords and one aluminum practice sword). One friend even manages to stuff her uniform inside too, so it's all you ever need to bring. There's little flaps in the bottom and velcro straps to help keep things in place, and a padded divider for the top/bottom halves. Two pockets on the front - one for a belt, the other is useful for stashing things during practice (keys, phone, wallet, etc.). Well worth it if you have more than one sword to bring with you.

Everyone in my Tai Chi class has this for weapons. Although it is not long enough for my staff (it sticks out of the top), there is plenty of room for my Dao and Jen practice swords. It is made of good durable material. I am 5'2" and I can carry it over my shoulder with no problems. There are little pockets in the bottom on each side where you insert the point of the sword, and there are velcro straps up top to hold the sword in place. There are two zippers; it's easier to place and remove the swords if you lay the case down on the floor. I tried just opening the top and that doesn't work well if you have them secured inside. There is an outside pocket and a little plastic thing to place an ID tag or business card. I'm very happy with it.
