Wanted to change the brake light bulbs and this Sylvania LED bulb worked perfectly. The fact it uses 2 bright LEDs that reflect off the sides gives it a neat look and distributes light throughout the reflectors. Instant on/off when the brake pedal is pressed, just like the high mounted brake light above the rear trunk, and brighter than the stock halogen bulbs. No errors at all, since my car has a different bulb for turn signals.

Slightly brighter than the incandecents that were replaced however instant on with no delay. Old regular bulbs had a second delay from the third brake light that was OEM LED so these to light up faster and have a lifetime warranty. You have to register them however not a bad deal with a lifetime warranty. Hopefully never need the warranty.

Lucky for me this is an easy install. Just remove a few screws, twist off the Brake light connector and swap the bulbs! 15 minutes job for both bulbs to replace. Man even did a back to back comparison and wow, these LED bulbs activate a 1/2 second quicker than incandescent (OEM) bulbs. when it's a panic stop...every (split) second counts! RECOMMENDED!

I bought these out of curiosity just to test out in my 2017 Honda Accord sedan's brake lights. I honestly didn't expect much of them after being extremely disappointed with these same bulbs in Amber (which were much dimmer than the stock incandescent bulbs in my Accord's turn signals). However, these ZEVO bulbs in Red turned out to be quite a pleasant surprise. They're not only more intense than the stock 21W incandescent bulbs, but they also outperform the 2 Philips LED brake light bulbs that I've tried in this car: the Red Vision 7440 and X-Treme Ultinon T20 Red (not sold in North America and must be imported). I wrote a somewhat favorable overall review on the Philips Red Visions but criticized their brightness, which was slightly dimmer than stock (but not to the point that they were unusable or unsafe), and the shadow they cast in the output where the bulb sits in the housing. The Philips X-Treme Ultinons are a tad brighter than the Visions and about as bright as stock, but they also cost 3 times as much as the Visions. They also don't fill out the reflector quite as well due to having just a single LED on each side of the bulb instead of 4 like on the Visions (which more closely imitates the shape/size of an incandescent filament). However, since both the Visions and the Ultinons draw the same amount of power (2 watts per bulb), the 2 LED's on the Ultinon are more powerful and produce a more intense and focused output than the 8 weaker LED's on the Vision (they don't fill out the reflector as well but the light they produce is more piercing). The ZEVOs have a similar basic design to the Ultinons (one powerful LED on each side of the bulb, firing towards the reflector) and therefore resemble them in both appearance and output (not as much reflector fill as stock or the Visions, but a noticeably greater sense of intensity). Despite being rated at only 1.5W, they actually seem to be a bit brighter than the 2W Ultinons (to my admittedly untrained eye, at least). Unfortunately, like the Philips Vision (and X-Treme Ultinon) bulbs, the performance of the ZEVOs depends heavily on the design of the housings in which they are installed. So while they may perform fairly well in my 2017 Accord sedan, there's no guarantee they will perform as well in another vehicle using these same bulbs. Unfortunately, there's no way to know for certain beforehand unless someone else with the same vehicle happens to write a review. The only other option is to just purchase them and find out the hard way, which is what I did as no one else with a 2016+ Accord has reviewed these yet. I will say that they prefer housings with plenty of reflector area around the bulb, as their design only emits light backwards and not forward or to the sides like an incandescent bulb. For that reason, it's also important that the bulb install straight into the housing. This type of design performs poorly in housings where the bulb is installed at an angle to the reflector (like some Honda 3rd brake light housings, like the 2016+ Civic sedan's) because the body of the bulb ends up blocking a major portion of the light, creating a large dark area where the incandescent bulbs would have a bright spot. Even in housings where they work well, the bulb will still cast a small shadow but that's unavoidable due to the nature of the design. On my Accord, the shadow is noticeable as it splits the beam in half right down the center. The Philips bulbs cast an even larger shadow due to the extra thickness of the bulb compared to the Zevo. It doesn't help that the bulb is installed into the housing at a slight downward angle to the reflector in my Accord, making the shadow effect worse than it would be if it were more horizontal (what the heck, Honda?). Oddly enough, there are shady spots on the reflector even the stock bulbs, but only when viewed from certain angles. The LED bulbs create shadows from every angle, sadly.During installation, keep in mind that these are polarity sensitive. So don't panic if they don't work the first time. Simply flip the bulb around 180 degrees and try again. I determined that the side of the bulb with the print on it corresponds to the positive side (7440 bulbs only have one pin on each side, one positive and one negative) as Sylvania neglected to label the pins as Philips does on its bulbs. My biggest gripe with these bulbs is that their construction isn't quite as solid as the Philips bulbs, which feel very sturdy and have thick connector pins that seem quite durable. The ZEVOs have a less refined appearance and feel to them, and their connector pins are extremely thin and easy to bend. Not only that, but they're loose and wiggle around a lot. Not very confidence-inspiring and seem like the most likely breakage point if mishandled. There is a limited lifetime warranty covering defects for as long as you own your car, but you must first register the bulbs online. The form requires your full name, country, phone number, vehicle make and model, VIN number, mileage, retailer name, and of course the part number of the bulbs to be covered under warranty. There was also an option to upload the image of a receipt but I'm not sure if it was a requirement as I decided not to go through with the registration process. I felt that they wanted just a bit too much personal info for a simple warranty on a pair of light bulbs (My phone number and my VIN? Really?). I haven't checked, but I wonder if Philips wants the same information for their warranty coverage? My only other complaint is in regards to fitment. While the bulbs snap securely into the socket and there's no danger of them falling out into the housing, they do have a bit of play in them and rattle around within the socket if lightly shaken. The Philips Visions and Ultinons snap into place with zero play and a nice, solid feel. While I doubt being a little loose will cause any issues, I do find it mildly irritating knowing they're jiggling around inside of my tail lights on rough roads. At least the Red version didn't require any modification to fit properly, unlike the Amber version that needed some minor trimming before it could fit into my turn signal sockets (and yes, I did order the right ones). All said, these are (so far) the best inexpensive LED bulbs that I've used in my Accord's brake lights and I highly recommend them to anyone else with a 2016 or 2017 Accord sedan. I feel that there isn't a better option anywhere near this price point in terms of quality and performance.4/5 STARSPros: Instant-on LED effect, greater brightness and intensity than stock (in my particular vehicle), inexpensive, made by Osram-Sylvania, limited lifetime warranty, thoughtful design that uses 2 well-utilized LED's rather than 80 chips firing in all directions except towards the reflector (like so many cheap, poorly-made bulbs out there)Cons: Less substantial build quality compared to Philips Visions, somewhat loose fitment in bulb socket, warranty registration wants your phone number and VIN, doesn't fill out the reflector as well as an incandescent bulb, creates a shadow where the bulb sits in the housingConclusion: Finally, a ZEVO bulb that doesn't embarrass itself when compared to its incandescent counterpart. If only the Amber version fared as well...Attached are some pictures comparing the ZEVOs to the (brand new, barely used) stock incandescent bulbs, the Philips Visions, and the Philips X-Treme Ultinons. I know it's difficult to draw conclusions from poor-quality cell phone pics, but please take my word for it that the ZEVO bulbs are the most intense in person. The first picture is of the stock bulbs on both sides. The 2nd picture has the ZEVO bulb installed on the left side and the stock bulb on the right side. The 3rd is of the ZEVO on the left and the Philips Vision on the right. The final pic is comparing the ZEVO on the left to the Philips X-Treme Ultinon on the right. In the first 2 photos, the engine is running in order to maximize the output of the incandescent bulbs for a fair comparison under real-world conditions. Incandescent bulbs are more sensitive to voltage than LED bulbs and are noticeably dimmer when the engine isn't running, therefore it can be misleading to compare the two with the engine off.
