We used this to drain our homemade cider and it worked great. Great price for the quality.

The pump did a mediocre job at best, and I ended up chopping it off and just using the tube.0/10 for hand pump9/10 for tube cause its not super flexible

Don't waste your time or money. I normally purchase a slightly higher priced syphon, but I decided to tried a different, more inexpensive version. Well.........I won't do that again. This was the cheapest made product I have ever had the misfortune of purchasing. It turned my wine into suds, after several attempts to get it to work. I gave up after 6 tries. It's true: "You get what you pay for".

You can't effectively clean this thing, so when you're done with it you're going to have to throw it away. We used it to siphon two gallons of mead into bottles, and it worked for that--barely. Fine particles will get through the mesh, so you can (and probably will) end up with lees in some your bottles. It's not particularly easy to use either. I'd recommend spending just a bit more on something else if you want to keep all sediment out of your bottles, and don't even bother if you will need more than one use out of it.

It works as expected. There’s no great way to take apart and clean so if you’re using this for brewing purposes or for use in food handling, I suggest buying multiple and use only a few times before bacteria build up.

This siphon was incredibly easy to use, and very efficient at moving liquids. The strainer does come off of the end, so make sure it is firmly in place before using it.The higher the "in" side is relative to the "out" end, the faster it will flow. You can't take it apart for cleaning, but if you run sanitizer through it a couple times, it'll keep.If you don't want to have to start the siphon yourself (a simple squeeze or two of the bulb), or elevate your input liquid container, invest in an electric/motorized siphon pump.

The fitting between the filter and tube is not made correctly and it's damaged after 1 use.Not recommended at all
