Of course, one simply MUST pre-filter with something far less expensive before hoping to use a 0.22um filter, and perhaps that was the issue (if you don't, the filter will clog after tiny volumes are passed through it). For our application, which is filtering protein solutions, these performed brilliantly.Value for money is of course important in a commercial setting, and these filters deliver that with ease at about thirty cents apiece.

So these would appear to be just as good as any other syringe filter of the same size and media type, but they are far inferior. The housing is more pliable than I would assume and can easily bend if putting sheer force on it. The absolute deal-breaker on these is that if you put too much pressure - IN THIS CASE TOO MUCH PRESSURE IS THE FORCE OF USING UIUR RHUMB TO PRESS THE PLUNGER DOWN INSTEAD OF A FINGER - these will blow a hole through the center of the media essentially ruining whatever you were filtering by shooting it at full speed down the syringe and through the now open hole in the filter.
