I was able to use this to remove a rusty fuel pump ring.First I cleaned up and scraped as much of the rust as possible. Then soaked it in evaporust covered paper towels. Finally soaked in some PB blaster and left it overnight.I used this tool and a Milwalkee 3/8 impact (with adapter) and was able to work it loose. It is critical that you keep it flat and fully engaged with the slots in the ring or it could chew up the metal.

Works as intended, takes a little getting used to as the tabs aren't bent appropriately so you may have to bend them to get them to seat and not slip. But otherwise, good to have if you're going into the fuel tank often and don't want to destroy the locking ring.

Worked as it should, don't know how long it would last in a professional shop environment but for home use it does the job.

Special Tool #T10202, to remove and install the metal ring that turns to hold & seal the rubber gasket on gas tank openings for in-tank fuel pumps. Push straight down and turn to install the ears on the metal ring under the tank mounting ring, all at one time. You can spend hours or a little money on the right tool.

It’s barely useful, this tool barely works. The cuts that are made to align to the grooves of the ring are accurate but the diameter is off. Extremely frustrating to use as it is not accurate and makes you slip off over and over. Have someone hold it in place and it works better. I wouldn’t buy this product again, get a better one elsewhere.
