They are bright and dim well. I like the blueish color.

For starters, these LEDs come with long leads that are easily bendable. They are marked on the underside to show + and -I have worked w electronics for many years and was able to solder in place without much trouble. This might be a somewhat challenging but doable project for a beginner. The issues are bending the leads to mimic the center height of the factory bulbs. (Where the filament of the bulb sits) Someneedlenose pliers will make that task alot easier. (Grab the straight lead w the pliers at the base of the LED PCB, then bend 90 degrees.) Sit the bent leads across the solder pads on the gauge cluster PCB to mark where to cut the additional length off. A sharpie is best. One more thing... after soldering them in look straight across the gauge cluster PCB at the angle of the LED's. Make them parallel with the gauge cluster PCB. (Almost all of mine were angled and should be flat, aiming straight upwards) You could try to re-solder, but think it best to grab one of the legs w pliers and gently move it so the top of the LED is not skewed at an angle. Have a little patience, take your time, and results will be worth the effort.

Fit great. Great replacement G9 socket to fix an old vanity light.

LEDS CAME IN A STRIP IN WHICH YOU HAD TO BREAK THEM OFF ONE AT A TIME. TWO OF THE LEDS WERE MISSING ONE OF THE POSITIVE SOLDERING WIRES.THESE WERE THE WORST LEDS I HAVE EVER PURCHASED

Spreading apart the legs to solder I had 2 of the 10 lights break a leg. It's not a super huge deal, I just replaced the legs with solder. They still work that way but it is the reason for the 3 star rating. Other than that the lights are super bright and are working well currently.

This is not the sort of replacement part you can just stop by your local auto parts store and buy. One of the miracles of online shopping is the availability of useful but otherwise unavailable items. These LEDs can be used both in the intended GM applications as well as other places where a mini-LED is needed.Quality and functionality seem to be very good.

Love the brilliant blue of my instrument panel now. These blue LED's came 10 to a pack and with replacing all lights except turn signals plus warning light still have three extra. They have green lenses so not really a big deal on them. The LED leads are very strongly attached so can be bent to fit without fear of breaking. You also can see in the pictures the polarity is clearly marked on every one so you never have to worry about a backward install. I will give more install info below to help but clearly give these a strong 5 out of 5 and highly recommend these if soldering in place.Just some friendly tips when taking apart to get to the lights mark your gauge's. Put small pieces of masking or painters tape down and rotate the needle all the way to the left and mark it. When you put it back on you will have the exact spot to set it now. When you cut or unsolder the old bulbs put some extra solder back on the pad. When you cut the LED length cut the first one long and adjust it down slowly.....Once you have the first LED to length and perfect cut the rest so you know they will be the same. Put a small bend on the end of the LED so it is secure to the pad.... you will see the original bulb is installed that way also. Last search for the year and make of your car for the polarity map of your cluster. It make the install a instant success.
