Used to old down a utility sink counter top. I used a rotary tool to cut some slots into the base cabinet. The eight cuts I made were not all even but when I installed the clips they all grabbed. Countertop could go to the Moon with no adhesive used (which I guess you're not supposed to use on butcher block). These were great. I was surprised that I couldn't find them at any local hardware stores.

Not as heavy metal as KV but suitable for the task. Priced right. Needlessly powdercoated.

The Z clips are good quality and work as expected to attach a table top to a base. However, the screws provided are only #6 x 1/2 inch. When I attach a heavy top to a table base I prefer to use #8 x 5/8 sheet metal screws. I would buy these Z clips again but purchase different screws.

Worked out great. Very sturdy. They screws are long enough for 3/4" lumber but if using for thicker may need longer screws. Quite satisfied.

These Z-fasteners are exactly what I needed to fit my table top to the frame. They will allow some movement resulting from shrinkage and expansion of the timber.
