Working great, quiet and no leak upon hook up. Still working fine after 3 weeks almost 16 hours a day.

Replaced two of these on my hot water heating system. Reasonable delivery time at a good price. Should last a long time.

Dimensions were the same for the mounting flanges and the height of the impeller housing. New grommets included for the top & bottom flanges. Only about $20 more than the cartridge so I opted to get the whole unit since the motor was pushing over 30 years already. Drained the heating pipes; no shutoffs around the pump so it was a lot more work and water. Put in a plastic curtain around the boiler to minimize water splash on the gas valves and electrical parts. Changed over the electrical connections to the new pump. After replacement and refilling and purging of air from the pipes, unit has been working great. Note that in order to purge air from higher locations of your house (ie 3rd floor and higher), you will need to use the bypass lever on your water pressure regulator leading to the boiler, in order to increase the water pressure and force the air down and out your drain hose.FYI, The Taco 007 is a rock solid pump design that has withstood the test of time...hope they never mess with the design.

This pump is easy to install. The pump works as described. But this particular pump that we received makes a lot of noise when running, pump I have installed at another house did not make noise like this particular pump does

Boiler radiant heating system went down last winter and repairman said it was bad pump....wanted $1700 to fix....couldn't afford that so had him wall off that pump and we lived without that zone for rest of winter while saving for repair....then I began looking into doing repair myselfThe Taco pump replaces the exact same item that failed...info I found on web said that is always good idea. Part was listed at $700 by repairman....I got for just over $100 from Amazon....so savings are huge just for part. Works great so far and shipping was quick. As for install....well trial and error was the key.I couldn't figure out how to keep air from getting in system during install.....there is some kind of a a switch or intake valve I just couldn't find....and right after install (very easy step) the pump knocked badly and then wouldn't seem to work....(I think it was "air bound") I finally tried draining the water & air in just that zone and tons of gook came out along with the water....then let boiler send water to just that zone...and it worked....opened up all the rest of the system valves and now have heat throughoutAs you can tell I'm a non-expert handyman....but willing to try. The Internet has great information....and even though I couldn't understand all of it at first...through good old trial and error I figured it out and saved $1500. Need to understand what each pipe does in system to make it work (feed vs returns). It took a couple of days but was well worth it.Good luck
