I really like this scale. I like that I don't need to plug it in or rely on batteries. I used to have a larger one when living overseas. We used it all the time for weighing luggage. That was my main purpose for buying this. I think that is is going to do a great job. I know the listed purpose was a kitchen scale, however, it will work well for me. The only problem I had was that it didn't come with any instruction at all. I have tried to put several pictures to help. It took me awhile to realize that their were small black plastic bits on the inside of the bars on the scale. That was probably to keep it from moving while in transit. It took me awhile to realize that I had to push them out to be able to finally get the scale to work. I have a picture above of the side of the scale. It has a silver screw with a plastic bit coming through it. I don't think it is supposed to be removed and I have no idea if it has any purpose at all. Regardless of some of the small difficulties, I would totally recommend this. The only drawback might be the price. It is a bit pricey.

I use this for measuring salt for a large fish tank. Much easier than dumping cup after cup of salt in my mixing container. I just throw the whole salt bucket on the scale and scoop sand until the weight drops by the right amount and I get perfect saltwater every time. Using measuring cups over and over leads to enough error that I was having to measure my SG after a few hours of mixing and then add more salt or water. With this scale it's perfectly right the first time.

This is what I use to weigh my luggage or boxes for travel at home to ensure I don't go over the weight limit. It has excellent durability.

We received it on time but it is defective. It cannot be calibrated to zero (0). It can't be adjusted. It's already on 2 lbs. No manual, instructions. We decided to keep it over the hassle of returning it. So every time we weigh we just minus the adjusted 2 lbs. weight. Disappointed. Not recommeded.
