These worked perfectly, so much so I order another pack of these because I used them to redo my desk and some shelves I have where I had been looking for screws and then came across these with the screws. So if you are looking to do inserts in wood I would totally recommend these and easy to install.

What ever was used to make them black comes off, the threads for the insert seem a bit shallow. They will work for what I want, bottom line, for the price, they'll do.

I needed these to install 12x12 stair treads to metal stringers, and these worked perfect!! Everything is in the kit but washers, which I used split washers to keep the bolt from wiggling loose from walking up and down the stairs.

Amazing product, the machined threads have a weird hitch when you first try mating them and a drill bit or a note on the best drill bit size would make this kit perfect.
