This pillow fabric is made using a lush and shimmering purple satin that feels a little like silk, it is filled with American grown flax seeds and lavender buds. Good for migraines, stress and insomnia. Useful for healing, centering and relaxing. For hot therapy, microwave one. For cold therapy, freeze one. These pillows are wonderful to cover your eyes. The pillow measures 10 inches long by 3.5 inches wide and 0.8 inches deep. This custom made high quality pillow may vary in size slightly. As for the lavender scent just enough, not overpowering and when it stops to have a suitably strong aroma just knead the pillow and the lavender buds will open up and release more scent. Comes with a matching slip cover. The seeds cannot be removed. Freeze for as long as you like in the supplied zip lock bag or microwave in 15 to 20 intervals for no more than one minute. Packaged in a reusable pvc bag for a small carbon footprint. The pillow is twist tested and double seamed to ensure quality stitching. There were some hiccups with a batch early in 2019 because I introduced some serger sewing machines and I hadn’t quite mastered them. Update:Still smells good two years later. I give it a few scrunches once in a while and poof! Lovely lavender. I've been freezing it every day and it's such a relief from the hot, muggy monsoon nights. Came here to order another one for my mom, and I'm thrilled these guys are still around.----Just the pillow I was looking for. Been having trouble sleeping lately and this does the trick. I made one for myself about 7 years ago and have no idea what happened to it, but this is much nicer - I'm a crap seamstress.1. The slipcover is great. I knew I was going to need to wash it at some point, but my friend's baby got a hold of it yesterday and it did the job! Kept the slobber off the main pillow.2. Good size and weight. Thought I was going to want more flax seeds in it when I first used it, but it's perfect. Molds to my face and stays put.3. Smells lovely, blocks the light. It's not as strong as I had hoped, but I am a smoker and don't have the best nose and it still gives me a nice whiff of lavender with every breeze.4. Fabric is soft and pretty, good stitching and no snags so far even with sharp baby claws all over it. I haven't tried heating or cooling it because I like it just the way it is.

Nice fabric...seperate case can be removed and washed if you use it for multiple people like I do. However, a bit large.

The quality of both the material and craftsmanship of all eye pillows I've ordered from Taketwopillows is superb, and I've ordered several - I can't emphasize this enough!An upside of ordering the pillows with slip covers is that they help retain the lavender scent, and they keep the pillow safe from dust.,I have a very difficult time going to sleep, and I use these to help block light out when I go to bed. Once I'm asleep the pillow slips off, but that isn't a problem at all.I 'm also trying to incorporate mindfulness meditation into my life, and I use these eye pillows to block out visual distractions (I meditate lying down). The wonderful lavender scent helps me focus on my breathing, and I find it easier to focus overall as a result.General thoughts:: Viewing colors differ: on mine this brocade looks blue-purple (beautiful), but in 'real life" it looks more red-violet (beautiful).: I like 100% flax seeds over the buckwheat hulls mixed with some flax seeds; I just find the weight and "feel" more appealing.: Taketwopillows also makes their products with no scent/flowers, so as long as you have no issue with flax seeds or buckwheat hulls, I believe allergies aren't likely to be an issue (I say contact the seller if you have any questions on this).BOTTOM LINE: Beautiful product, and considering the cost of comparable items on Amazon, excellent quality and value.

Very nicely made eye pillow, fragrant with lavender, with it's own bag for storage or travel. It gets me back to sleep after the 3 a.m. wake up, keeps the sun out of my eyes and induces relaxation with gentle pressure across the eyes.

I am sad to say that my pillow arrived with the seam split, and Flax seed spilling out all over the place.Basically this one was poorly sewn, with not enough seam allowance, and the material not edged to stop fraying.I can't send it back, because I dropped the sleeve - which is very well made - and it got damaged. I will of course mend the mask myself.I am all for homemade, USA made crafts, but just want to caution the seller to take care.I do have another eye mask by the same company/person, which has stood up to the test of time, thus I am giving this three stars and not one.

This is just what I needed, it is a nice weight, the fabric stays cool and soft.The pillow bag it comes in is kind of funny, unnecessary but the kids use it for random stuff.I would recommend it to others and if this one walks away I would buy it again.
