I wasn't sure how to use this item but I bought it on sale. I made a lattice top apple pie using it within 1 day of receipt. It made a nice design and was easy to use. Sometimes the dough rolled up into the middle of the 2 wheels. It was easy to remove but I wasn't sure how to prevent this. Perhaps the dough needed more flour so it would be less moist. I tried rolling the wheel cutter in flour to see if that helped but it didn't so what I did was go real slow and push the dough down if it seemed like it was about to go into the center of the wheel. If anyone has a better idea of how to prevent this let me know. Either way, I'm glad I got it. The lattice pieces were uniform and very pretty as a final product on my pies.

Works fine for occasional use and sticking wasn’t a big issue with chilled dough. A professional might want something more robust.

I used this cutter to cust my homemade dough when I make Peach cobbler with lattice top crust on top. I was never good at those activities that required good hand-eye coordination, so this is a great tool for me. My crust on top came out even. The crust looked so much better and actually tasted better as it being cut evenly helped it to cook better.

A fun addition to pie-making. Makes even ,scalloped-edged strips, easy to use and while I could not figure out now to take apart for cleaning, it was still easy to clean. Bought 1 each for my 2 daughters as stocking stuffers .
