I bought a couple of these thinking that they'll hold my Roland PD-8 pads, but the l-rods diameter is too small. I had to buy the tom l-rods and they work perfectly. Great products overall and they carry the great Tama hardware quality.

Tama has top of the line hardware. I use these to attach cow bells and jam blocks. It can be used also to mount a rack tom.

Tama hardware is the best in the biz. It's durable, adaptable, and easy to use.I use this to attach the Tama RhythmWatch during rehearsals & performances, so I'm not using it for a cowbell mount. Nevertheless, it doesn't loosen during use.

SUMMARYA great high quality clamp and L-rod that's easy to use. -1 star on value, but 4+ on quality and design.I wish TAMA also made this clamp with an L-Rod cymbal mount as a package. It's expensive to buy them separately. (ends up about $42-45 +$18 plus tax.I wish they included more specs in the listing for these, but no one seems to. I plan to update this review with further specs when I get a chance. I don't have the specs with me at the time I'm writing this. (things like L-rod diameter on both ends, L-rod length, clamp diameter, length of clamp fully extended, etc.I will also update with pictures of my mounting options described below.DETAILSI bought this to mount a TAMA RW200 Metronome on a microphone stand and/or cymbal stand. It's a great quality product. I looked at quite a few. It was $42 plus tax on Amazon, slightly higher elsewhere usually about $45. It seems like a lot to me for what it is. Gibralter makes a similar product for about $34. I bought one of those too. I like the clamp on the TAMA better, but either is functional. I'd like to see the TAMA selling closer to the price of the Gibralter, or less. -1 star on value, but it is very good quality and a good design, and that's why I ultimately paid the extra for it.The rest of this review deals with mounting Metronomes, specifically the TAMA Rhythm Watch RW200 and the Boss DB-90.For the Metronome Mounting there are other options:To mount with an L-rod mount like this, you also need the TAMA RWH10 Rhythm Watch Holder which runs about $20. So now you have about $65-70 in the mounting...almost as much as the metronome itself. The TAMA RWH10 will NOT fit on the Boss DB-90 because the Boss unit is too thick and the bracket can't clear the bottom edge and align the hole (in case anyone wondered.)A more cost effective mounting solution is the $29.00 Mapex Rebel C200RB Straight Cymbal Stand. It has the right thread to match the metronome. You flip the wing nut over upside down and back it down onto the thread, then screw the metronome on about 5 full rotations, then use the wing nut to tighten the stand to the metronome. Wala...mounted. IT's a cheap cymbal stand, not very heavy duty, but perfect for this application and also works for mounting the Boss DB-90 Metronome. M6 (6mm) thread on both metronomes. Boss also comes with a little adapter nut that can accomodate the new standard M8 thread found on most cymbal stands. But most cymbal stands have an unthreaded nub at the top that is too long and you would need to cut that off to get enough threads to securely mount metronomes. This mapex has the M6 thread all the way to the end of the bolt. You can also use the TAMA Clamp with a cymbal mount L-rod and use that to mount the boss. Again, the TAMA (and all other L-rod cymbal mounts I could find) have a nub on the end that really would need to be cut off to properly mount the metronome. The TAMA cymbal mount L-rod is currently about $18. Sound percussion labs and gibralter make clamp plus cymbal mount l-rods for around $30.

I wanted a clamp to attach my 12" snare to the hi-hat stand and purchased this. I made a mistake with measurements and the holder arm was a bit small. I just used a piece of rolled tin (baked beans) and made a reducer and it worked a treat and the snare is now firmly attached.
