Product delivered next day as advertised. However, bull pin was rusty, pitted and actually rusted to bubble wrap to some degree. Bull pin should have been oiled after manufacturing and before being placed in the packaging. Functionally ok so did not return, but should not receive in this condition.

First of all when this arrived and I opened the box it appeared as though someone sent me a bull pin they found in old ship yard that had been sitting for a long time. This thing was beyond filthy and had rust and ton of grim on it. I know the description states it has a black finish but I didn't expect all the "finish" to come off on my hands. Anyway, I cleaned it up the best I could and ordered a wire buffing wheel for my grinder to clean off the rest of the grim. Once it's cleaned up I'll finish it with rust protection.Ok, in regard to the bull pin itself. It's a heavy piece of solid steel. In regard to the heat treatment I'll be finding out how well it was hardened as I work with it. I plan to use it in my shop for a variety of tasks one of which will be the stated use of aligning holes for bolts but also for things like knocking out stuck pins and similar tasks.If this bull pin holds up over the long run it will end up being a good deal as other similar bull pins on Amazon are priced significantly higher. If I find that the quality is sub standard I will make an effort to come back and update this review.
