Ever since seeing Meekah and Blippi doing tap a couple years ago, my son has talked about it (and dance in general) NON STOP! I hesitated to buy him some tap shoes because the MAJORITY of the other styles are definitively more a girl’s style (even if they’re labeled unisex). This was the first one that actually looked gender neutral and as it turns out, the mom who created these ALSO had a son who loved to dance! 😠I was already pretty sure on them, but when I read that it sealed the deal for me—being a dance mom to a boy can be a real challenge finding shoes and other accessories because so many people assume that only girls dance 🙠so grateful for this mindful option!In person, the shoes are EVEN BETTER THAN I THOUGHT THEY WOULD BE!! ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ the taps look super solidly attached, and literally ***NOT A SINGLE STITCH*** was out of place! I am THRILLED with this purchase! My son just about flipped out (I wanted it to be a surprise—he was! ðŸ¤) he immediately wanted to put them on and started practicing some of the tap steps he learned from videos. It was such a cute moment!If you’re on the fence between these and another, just stop! Get these! 😠the workmanship is seriously UNPARALLELED for a kids shoe and it’s seriously akin to the quality you would expect for an adult tap shoe. They have elastic laces with a Velcro band to ensure they stay on snugly, and even though my sons were just a touch big, they stayed on super securely (they run true to size—but his feet have been growing like crazy, so I decided to hedge my bets against him outgrowing them before he got good use out of them). I’m so beyond happy with these! Thanks to the mom who made them 💜 we absolutely will be purchasing these again when he outgrows this pair. 😠hope this helps anyone who isn’t sure!

These run small!! It was too late for me to return them by the time dance started. You may want to get them very close to start to make sure they fit.

Fits a little narrow. Stiff so need to be really broken in. Overall decent shoe and value for price. I like that they Velcro so my child can put on themself

Perfect toddler boy’s tap shoes! I love the elastic laces and Velcro strap which makes them look and fit like tennis shoes. Just like most tap shoes, these ones are not super flexible and comfortable. It’s nice that they come in half sizes, but wish the size range would be broader and include wide width! Size up 1-1.5 as the toe is narrow!

Great pair of tap shoes. Looks as pictured. Cushy insoles and a nice sound when dancing. Easy to slip on and off. A little on the narrow side.
