I lost a lot of weight the past 6 months and it was time to get new shirts so I needed to measure myself. I needed a tape measure that can give me my neck and chest size but did not want to pay a lot of money for it since I will be using it rarely. This was perfect for me because it retracts and can just put it in a drawer without it getting wrapped around things and it is very accurate and easy to read. I don't think that professionals would use such a thin tape measure but it is perfect for home use. The retraction mechanism is a bit loud when you pull the tape out but if you press the button as you pull it, it works great and it retracts quickly. For this price, it makes sense to have it around the house.It also helps when measuring curved surfaces that I need to cover with cell foam sheets.

You know a common problem with some inexpensive measuring tapes like this; is that they are often not truly starting at 0. Often the beginning is not very exact which can really make it something to fix or to calculate. This super low priced (small) body tailor measurement retractable tape is perfect. No gimmicks or larger than needed. In fact it’s very well made and the smaller size is also much heavier than some other similar tools like this employ. Given the price I was willing to make adjustments if needed. But this is a serious deal. If this was made with Titanium or had a known label it could be several times more expensive. Plus the overall length is about 60â€. It is like a construction metal serious tape retractor but about 2†in diameter and ~ 1/2†in total width. Anyway I can even use the small open area at the start of the tape to hang on my nearest table (which of course has several small hooks for things that get lost immediately!!!

Is useful. It helps me to take body measures mostly but it also could be used for other purposes.

I first bought this black tape measure in June 2020 (for $5) and occasionally use it for body measurements, and it has held up well to this day! I like that the base, release button and tape are smooth and that the tape is also accurate and easy to read. One annoyance is that the tape loudly and intermittently clicks when stretched out, but now I simply hold down the button to quietly and smoothly withdraw it. When I am finished measuring I simply press the button a few times (until the tape is fully retracted) and store in a small corner until it is needed again. For being small, light, easy to use and overall handy, this “Tape Measure for Body Measuring Tape for Body Cloth Measuring Tape for Sewing Tailor Fabric Measurements Tape (Retractable Dual Sided Black)†by RayTour group gets a respectable 4/5 stars!

There are countless tape measures that look identical to this one, yet most of them are only 30 or 40 inches, making them just a bit too short to be useful for measuring some things. This one is a full 60 inches, yet it's identical in size and weight, so it still fits perfectly into my pocket.To make it fit into such a small case the tape is slightly thinner, but it's still very strong and durable. I was a bit skeptical about the black background at first, but I've gotten used to it. It's different, but still easy to read.In my case, I'm not using it for body measurement or clothing. I like to bring a small tape measurer with me when I shop for certain items like desks, filing cabinets, etc., so I get a sense of how they'll fit in my home.

While at home during quarantine, I decided to start my weigh-loss journey. The only thing I’ve used to track my progress of workout was just the scale and taking before and after pictures.After viewing multiple YouTube videos of others using measuring tape to measure out their results, I decided it was time to get one myself.This product works wonders! I love it! It’s lightweight, small, user-friendly! I can name a lot more lol! To sum it all up, it’s perfect for whenever I need to measure my body; as well as to measure any essential household items!

When it recently came to my attention that some reviews on major websites can be bought or faked easily, I decided that I needed to do my part in sharing honest feedback about products that I have ordered and actually use, since I rely so heavily on reviews when making purchases online. This tape measure is one of my most recent purchases (New Year's resolutions of losing weight and all). It does its job well! It is made of plastic but seems sturdy. It clicks out with each inch and stays out until you press the side button to retract the tape, which is a cool feature in my opinion. I tested the accuracy against an old ruler we had lying around and it is accurate (The photo doesn't do the accuracy justice because of the angle I took the photo at. In person, it is very clear how accurate the measuring tape is, but I thought I would include that photo anyway). I like it, and I will update my review if that changes any time in the near future!

I can’t buy clothes online if I have no idea what my measurements are, so this lil thing was perfect. I appreciate that it’s small, so it fits in my purse in case something I encounter in life needs measuring for whatever reason (always be prepared, logic has no place here). I also use it to measure when I’m sowing and embroidering clothes and the locking feature is very helpful when I need it to stay put.
