This is not some cheap plastic switch.It is metal, heavy, quality construction.Very reliable. Very nice looking too.I would definately recommend this one for those who need a switch pedal.

Works with my Tascam PORTASTUDIO 414 4-track cassette tape recorder, based on instructions in the original manual for use with the RC-30P Remote Footswitch.This RC-1F appears to function identically to the RC-30P it replaces referenced in the 414 manual.I have MKI of the 414, but I imagine it works for MKII as well as other Tascam Cassette Portastudios. Rejoice!

Feels sturdy and has a switch for NC (normally closed) or NO (normally open) operation.There is no "click" when the switch engages, if that matters to you.

Great size, well designed and sturdy enough to stay where you want it too. I’m most impressed with it’s versatility. Works great with my drum machine to. Way smaller than anything that I’ve used and way better.

This is a reliable, solid, quality built pedal. In this world where quality is often lacking, this exceeded my expectations. My only complaint is that the cable is only 6 feet long. But it can be easily lengthed with a 1/4†jack coupler and a 1/4†jack cable.

I bought this to use with my Tascam 2488 24 track portastudio. The pedal is very well made. High quality metal. This is not going to break. I used it in a recording today. I believed it changed from playback to recording only when the pedal was pressed, however when pressed it changes from playback to recording and needs another press to flip back to playback. It’s not really an issue. I think there may be a setting in the portastudio to change the operation of the foot switch. Anyway I am really pleased I got it. It saves me having to record the whole track again. Recommended
