This is the one I’ve been searching for. I’m 5’8†and my head or feet always end up coming off my regular size mat in yoga class. I have tried several mats so far with no luck. The regular size mat is too short, another was too wide and looked silly when carrying around, and another was too slippery. This one is great! It’s the perfect length and width. It blends in with the other mats at class and did not look out of place. I did not come off the mat on this. It grips the floor and did not slide around. I was able to do all typical poses like downward dog without my hands slipping. It’s thicker than a regular yoga mat which is nice and comfortable. FYI it doesn’t come with a strap, so you have to get your own to carry it.

My husband likes the size because it is long enough for him. He said it isn’t slick and your feet stay stationary when doing exercises. It has enough cushion too.

All-in-all, this is a pretty decent mat. We have hardwood floors, so having something underfoot to break that up while exercising is a must. I can't say this is perfect though. I've noticed that although I have kept it unrolled ever since I bought it, the ends do tend to try to curl under. That's a little annoying because it forces me to pay attention to my footing if I happen to be over near the end (I don't want to trip, obviously). That aside, it's decent enough for the price.

As a 6'5" guy trying to get into yoga I appreciate the size. But it it's very sturdy and just from regular use it's already starting to get compressed and pieces coming off. Even worse, is it's kind of slippery and my hands slip during downward dog.
