The screen is designed to be compatible with Atwood furnace vents models 2540, 8516, 8520, 8525, 8531, 8535 and 8940, as well as Suburban 6, 10 and 12 gallon water heater vents and most battery vents.

The screens fit very well over the exhaust opening, and stay put. Traveling lots of bumpy roads, but it hasn't budged. This is essential equipment for keeping mud dauber wasps from building nests in your RV furnace, which is expensive to have cleaned out.

While the quality of this product is good and the installation is fairly straight-forward, the discouraging fact is that it was too small to cover the opening that I had purchased it for. And there were no other brands with larger dimensions. What I ended up doing was purchasing two screens, hinging them together with twisty-ties and putting both of them over the opening to the water heater. Worked perfectly!

We've owned RVs for over 20 years and these are an absolute necessity (though size and shape varies) to keep wasps and mud-dobbers out of your furnace vent and water heater vent. Without these, the critters will get into your vents and build nests pretty much shutting down the operation of the furnace and/or water heater and creating a potential fire hazard. Some RVs with propane-powered refrigerators also require one for that vent as well.Now - I'm not going to lie to you, it is a very tedious and frustrating task to get them securely anchored in place. You basically needs the hands of a surgeon and the eyesight of jeweler but with enough patience and determination - it can be accomplished.Once in place I've never had to worry about them coming loose in the past.These are a great and necessary investment and this is a good price on these 4"x4" covers.

If you have an RV with a furnace. You should. Then you know about in the summertime having wasp, dirt robbers ect... coming in through the heater exhaust vent. This fits it perfectly.
