small enough to be unobtrusive but the right size to get a good rain reading. It has screw holes but I just use tie strap to hold it to my fence. great little rain gauge.

This is a good deal on two rain gauges for the price you usually get one for. The reason I did not give it five stars was because no mounting screws came with them and the base is a little flimsy.

These glass rain gauges come in a pair: good idea since they are glass. The price is reasonable, the aluminum frame/ ground stand is simple, effective. The graduated measurements are accurate. In the ground, away from lawnmower, motorized edger and string trimmer, they are durable, but glass is still glass.They arrived pretty well cushioned through the mail, intact and ready to use. The extra one is good insurance.

Two came in the package, the glass tube of one broke quickly with my clumsy handling. The gauge is smaller than plastic ones I've used in the past, and it disappears in the grass at the height I mow it. And the short metal point for mounting in the soil I found insufficient. This gauge seems to be made for smooth, short turf that might be desired in suburban, well-manicured settings.

Both glass vials broke by themselves from the sunlight. Mounting bracket is flimsy and does not come with the miniature screws necessary to mount it. It is also very difficult to read the gauge. Very surprised that a good name like Taylor would put out junk like this. Pass on this, it’s a waste of money.

Works as it should. Read it and badaboom you know how much rain you got. The very thin aluminum mounting pieces is like paper thin though so be very careful.

This is the cheapest rain gauge and does the job. You will need to screw the bracket to a post or rail located away from any buildings to get an accurate reading.

Made of glass which is nice, holder is just thin medal that easily bends. Tube is very small and is not as accurate as the larger ones.
