The pin itself is sharp and I just ordered the longer pins also. The best part of these for quilting is that there is a lot of ironing ... and the heads don't melt@ The photo of the silicone looks a lot larger then it actually is, which is a bonus but you can easily grip the pins to get them where you want them to go! Love!

These pins are so easy to pick up and manipulate when using with applique pieces. The fact that you can iron on top of them makes the applique process much easier.

These pins are sharp and glide through the fabric easily - they are short enough that they don’t poke your hands while handling to sew -I am very picky about my equipment - these are now my favorite pins. I have a few different lengths to accommodate whatever project I am working on

I do mostly needle turn appliqué and pin the appliqué to the background fabric so that's 3 layers. They would be easier to use if they were not so thick as they don’t go through the fabric easily.

I bought these pins for quilting small squares and they are the perfect size. The best part is that you can iron over them and they will not melt. Great product.

They are just the right size and the grippy part is just the right size. They are also very sharp. Helped me with 122 appliqué pieces for a quilt. Amazing.

These are knockoffs.I bought a box of the real ones a month prior. Those are great. These not so much. First the color is paler than the originals but I thought nothing of it. 2nd they're not as sharp and harder to push into whatever your using them for. Third and the most annoying is that when you pull them out, the plastic yellow head pops off from the pin itself. For the price of these I'm completely Disappointed.

These will prick your fingers and are easily bent. There are better sewing pins with glass heads that will do the job and hold up better.

Contrary to the claims of being heat resistant, these pin melt quite handily into a blob when touched with an iron on Cotton setting.
