Great pictures and well-written instructions. I agree with some of the other reviews that this isn't exactly a book for beginners. I adjusted the coaster project so that I only used one color and one stitch (tent and reverse tent) in order to get used to the process before trying to incorporate so many colors and so many different stitches in one tiny project. I also reduced the box size, intending to use it as a trinket box rather than a coaster box, which also helped as a beginner. I was afraid to pull the yarn too tight so I ended up making it too loose. My advice would be to pull it "taut" but not tight instead of leaving any slack. I had to pull everything back out a couple of times before I finally got it looking like the picture. All in all I think it's a great book, just adjust it for your level of experience.

The designs are lovely, both when done in a solid color or when colors are mixed. Directions might be a little unclear for a beginner.

I've been wanting to learn plastic canvass crafting and this is just the book I need. I haven't made anything yet but I have gone through the book and the instructions and diagrams are very clear and easy to read. I like that the cover art is the same on both back and front except one shows only white objects and the other shows the same objects in colors.

Taught me so well I sold them. This is the second time I've ordered this book, first one burned in a house fire. People love these coasters with boxes.

I would like this book better if they showed you what it is too look like when you are finish. A real photo not a drawing. Then I would know if I got it right or at lest close to right. I really haven't used it at all. I find some of the directions hard to follow.

il libro è molto preciso dettagliato. Inoltre risulta comprensibbile anche per chi eventualmente conosce poco la lingua inglese.E' sicuramente un'ottima guida per iniziare.

I am just learning to embroider on Plastic Canvas, and was looking for a beginner book.This fits the bill perfectly.Large clear diagrams, and text. Learning a new skill from a book is not usually easy for me,( even teach yourself ones) but I find I can learn from this very easy to understand book.This is truly a Teach Yourself Book for novices and I would recommend it to anyone.p.s. I am finding my new found craft very enjoyable, and wish I had discovered it before now.xx

Bought this book for a friend who has just began working with plastic canvas, she really has been well pleased with it, and is learning all the stitches in an easy format.

I bought my girls all items needed to do plastic canvas thinking it would be good for them to do it now and then and keep entretained.So even though I did some at school when I was little and the basic 2 stitches are pretty easy and straight forward, I though a book that shows them what they can make can motivate them.This book does not show the final results/ items so the front cover will be the only picture of finished products you will see.On the other hand it does show very well illustrated the stitchings required to do many different patterns.PROS-Few good ideas with good illustrations-Basic but helpfulCONS-Thin as a magazineProbably a magazine would have more pages-Very little written instructionsIt does not explain much at all so be prepared to look at the pictures and work out how to do it yourself.Would I buy this product again?As a basic start helpful illustrated guide, yes.
