These are QUIET dense foam. Unlike earlier products (according to reviewers) mine were 1" cubes, cut uniformly, pips painted nicely. These would be a great gift for any teachers or homeschoolers you know. Kids could even use these in the back of a car--with a 20 pack it won't matter if you lose a few ;)

I use these in my classroom and I can't go back to solid dice. The noise difference is incredible- it makes game play in stations much more realistic. My only qualm is how they're not able to be cleaned when the kids write on them with a dry erase marker.

Exactly as advertised - foam dice that are basically silent. My only complaint is that some of the dots on the face of the dice are off center, which kind of drives me nuts.

When you’re having to teach with dice, hearing the banging and flying across the floor can just about drive a teacher insane. I absolutely love these and so do my colleagues. The foam dice a little bigger than your normal, loud dice your currently using. This is a must for any classroom!

A bit expensive but worth it for saving me the headaches on game days and indoor recess! The kids love these dice and found them so special, they asked my permission to use them over the regular plastic ones :)

If you are like me and you like a quiet classroom, you HAVE to invest in these. I bought two packages and love them., I find the kids play more quietly with them as well.
