So I work from home and wanted a desk that would allow me to go mobile out onto the front or back porch, or even just to the living room. I needed it to accomodate a docking station for my laptop, two monitors, a keyboard, and a mouse. Because I still wanted to sit while I worked, and the chairs we have outside are a little lower than a regular desk chair, I found that the desk mount arm for 2 monitors I bought made the monitors too high when mounted on the top shelf, so I removed the top shelf and mounted the monitors to the second lower shelf. Then I had no shelf for the keyboard so I bought and mounted an under-desk keyboard tray to that shelf and used the little bottom-most shelf for my laptop and docking station. I zip-tied a multiple outlet extension cord onto the frame so I can plug in the docking station and both monitors and plug the whole works in with the extension cord. It works perfectly! It's heavy enough to be sturdy and strong, but not so heavy I can't get it across the threshold and onto the back porch myself to work outside. I'm a genius!!

I've had it about a week and it's a sturdy desk. The high adjustment works well. Just remember when you want to lower it you have to pull it all the way up and then it will slide down. As you begin lifting it up to your preferred height, it will click at each level and lock in place until you lift it again. Once you've reached you desired height there are 2 knobs to screw into the holes for extra protection to keep it from sliding down although it is locked in place. More on the locking in place. It's like tent or pop-up shelters when you extend the height and it locks into place at each height except the legs are not wobbly like a pop-up shelter or tent. The legs (entire structure) are made of a pretty thick metal. The wheel casters are decent. There are only wheel locks on the front. You can put them on the back if you want but I prefer the front to help keep it from sliding forward. The wheel casters will slide on a desk floor mat and not stop. But if you are on a hard floor, the wheels I have in the front do have rubber on them to help prevent sliding. I put the back wheels on the mat and the wheels with rubber on them that lock in front on the hard flood to grip the floor. I noticed the way the base that the wheels connect to are flat and sturdy enough if you don't want to use the wheels. It was made to be portable and can be raised to be a stand up workstation if you want that height.I do recommend getting edge protector for the shelves edges especially if you have kids or just don't want to get clipped by the edges. I've attached a picture of the edge protectors I got from Amazon also. The nice part is the adjustable heights. You can use just about any chair. Maybe your favorite chair (informercial) lol. I always say if it doesn't work out I have 30 days to return. Oh. Be very care with the package of screws. The are separated in a blister pack and numbered/lettered. If they get mixed it's hard to sort some of them out (I learned the hard way). There was one screw that didn't match the number/letter. Mine was for the center shelf. So don't freak out it's the right screw. Easy assembly. 30 min maybe. Don't over tighten with the allen wrench (included). Some parts I found easier to install by turning it upside-down rather than trying to install. Trying to put the screws with an allen wrench from underneath is a bit challenging. I'm happy with so far. Again I suggest edge protectors especially when your retrieving something from the shelves below. It does have room for a printer not an extremely large one though. My all-one printer is 21 in long and won't fit between the bars on the shelf.... I gave it a 4 star because the mislabeled screw that spent time trying to figure out by eyeballing and measuring the screws one by one. About only 4 sizes though.

First of all, this desk is made well. Seems very solid. So, I am very happy with that. I also like that the bottom 2 shelves are below the lift, so I feel more comfortable maxing out weight load on them. The things to know. First, it does not go as low as a typical sitting desk. I have the Boos Office Be Well Medical Spa chair which works well because it is oddly high. However you do it, if you want it for sitting, either get a stool or a chair that rises high enough. It goes really high, so if you are 7' 2" and want a standing desk, I am guessing this will work for you. But you obviously do not need to go that high. It is perfect for me at 5' 10" The other thing that I did not like is that it is pretty big front to back (depth) and the description is not clear. I ended up cutting the keyboard shelf which worked great. No one could ever tell I modified it. Now it fits through the doorway I want to be able to roll it through. Before that it was just a bit too wide. Plus I find it more comfortable with a smaller keyboard shelf anyway. The lifting of the desk from sitting ot standing and back again is mechanical and you must lift it al the way up to go back down. It is not too hard, but on the continuum of strength, if you are closer to the little old lady end or if you have a physical disability that impacts your 2-handed lifting ability, then this is not the right option for you. Back to my beginning, I am very happy and pleasantly surprised with the quality. Putting together was easy.

Product parts were loose in packaging but no major issues as there were only slight blemishes on parts that are hidden anyway. Upon trying to lock the front two wheels during installation both the locking pieces broke off in my hand. Still continued with assembly. Do not overtighten screws as you can hear the MDF cracking. The instructions were clear and assembly was quick and easy. I bought this desk for a golf simulator that required a desktop pc. Placed a flat screen on top that came in at less than 30 lbs and the pc on bottom shelf ( no more than 15-20 lbs). Moved the desk with everything on it about a foot to get it in the right position. I don’t see this lasting very long if you needed to move it regularly. However I won’t be moving it so this won’t affect its use. Similar desks range from $150-200. I paid $55 after tax as I was looking for a budget desk after having purchased sim and desktop to run it. Works fine as long as your expectations are realistic for a desk at this price point.

Easy to assemble. Exactly what I was looking for as I work in my kitchen and when my kids get home often I have to move to my bedroom. Rolls easily and the casters are good quality and don't damage my hardwood floors. Fits through doors. Easily moves up to standing height however is a bit tricky to lower as ou have to pull it all the way up for it to lower back down and with my monitor etc on it it is a bit of a pain. The lowest sitting height is on the high side but my chair is adjustable so I moved it up and put my feet on the bottom shelf ..works perfect!

I'm not sure how other buyers have had issues assembling this - I found it very straight-forward. As to difficulty raising the working surfaces, hey - it's not motorized, so you would have to remove the monitor or other heavy items from the platforms before loosening the knobs to raise or lower. As you'd expect for something in this price range. I also find it quite sturdy and not prone to serious side-to-side wobbling. The lowest height, however, is 32" - even with my office chair in its highest position, it's a bit too tall for seated use.

I though it was going to feel cheap but it turned out very nice and sturdy. The metal is thick and has a nice coat of paint on it. The shelves are also solid and have no problem supporting my equipment.I was afraid it might not be high enough but at 6'4" I don't even need to pull it all the way up to use is comfortably. It's too high to use siting down on a chair or sofa but it does work with a stool or any seating that is stool height.Changing the height is a bit cumbersome but easy enough that I can go from sitting to standing and back to sitting again in a day.Very happy with my purchase.
