Do not install the knob for the fader before checking that the fader operates fully. The fader knob is not shaped to fit the slider and it can easily be damaged. I recommend leaving this knob off.This is a good deal on a fun and useful machine. My first order had a bad slider and it wasn't a problem returning it and ordering another (that worked). TE's customer service is pretty much self-serve so I'm glad I purchased this refurbished with a good warranty. I'm leaving off one star because I knew about the possibility of a faulty fader, but I assumed a refurbished unit would be just that. Not a big deal. It was easy to get a replacement.

I expected a steep learning curve but it really wasn't too bad. The manual is super clear and helpful and it didn't take long to feel like I knew enough to get going. Good price point for a neat and inspiring instrument. Stock up on AA batteries!

Like 90s akai sampler. Just prepare samples for small size since you can't upgrade storage.
