This is a very good filter set especially for the cost. These filters conform to the standards listed on them for standardized colors. There of high quality, they do not rattle, they're very easy to use as they will screw into any 1.25-in eye piece. They are an excellent value and I highly recommend them as a good starter set. As you get into astronomy, of course, you'll want more but this kit will really get you going to enjoy the planets, as these are planetary filters for the most part, but some may be used for deep space observation. Consult a reliable chart online as these do conform to all standards.

I ordered this largely for the case, to hold my LPR filters, as I find only two of the supplied filters are really useful: The moon filter, for cutting brightness, and the yellow, for reducing chromatic aberration at very high magnifications. Quality is decent, and it does provide good protection.

Metal ring and optical glass is great especially for the price. Metal case is a big bonus. No cleaning cloth but great value for less than $25.00.
