I had to give a poster presentation at a science conference, and I wanted to have a pointer. This was a great idea, because I can tuck it away in my jacket pocket. It is easy to use and lightweight. I was able to adjust the length to half of the maximum, and stand next to the poster and reach across to point to various items. I could easily pull on it to extend it if necessary. I have not tried using it on a touch screen. I noticed that some lint would build up on the tip, and since it is white, it would look dirty. It was easy to remove this with my thumbnail without damaging the tip. The wrist strap is great and it is removable. I bought a cheap laser pointer at the dollar store and used some black duct tape to fasten it to the handle. It stayed in place through my entire trip. I was able to point to things with the laser if I didn't feel like extending the stick. I was the only person at the show who had one of these things, so I'm sure I looked like a super-nerd, but I didn't care! I loved it! I'll definitely break it out again.

I bought this teachers extendable stick for my Emdr practice. It's light weight, sturdy and very good value for money.For Emdr, i find it effective during the "processing phase 'with clients. We don't need to sit to close to eachother due to the expendable pole and I no longer have tension in my shoulders from practicing eye movement reps with my finger, as before.
