A bit pricy for the item, but works great! Did my research on the internet and this is the best value for the length this pole extends.

It came pretty severely bent, and it clearly was shipped that way, as the box wasn't damaged. It would be more trouble to send it back than to bend it back in to shape (mostly; it's workable but not fully straight). Also, the quality isn't great, and the handle isn't at a comfortable angle. And it's too expensive.

Econ 101 is at play here. This is kind of a niche product so they can gouge your wallet on this purchase... Really quite expensive for what is in the box. Build quality is really cheesy. I'm assuming it costs them less than $10 to fully construct one of these things, labor included.But, I have a skylight that I wanted to open/close easily and it is > 12 ft high, and I don't have routine access to a large ladder, so the options are limited.It works. It's expensive, and junkie, but it works. The price should be 1/2 to 2/3 lower, but there's nothing else out there.

We use it for a skylight and shade in our den. For 10 foot ceiling.
