It tuned up nicely and has a great tone. The tuners are open-style and have good friction, keeping them in tune. If you have any issues with staying in tune, you can gently tighten each gear but consider new strings will also stretch at first. Overall, the neck and body are solid. Frets are not ruff, string height good and the body has a thin top that seems to enhance resonation.

Very nice, affordable, well crafted instrument. Wood grain not as impressive as in the picture, but still an attractive instrument. Bag is fine, no padding, just nylon shell, okay if you are careful with your things. Tuner is super easy to use and very compact to carry with you. All in all, a VERY good package!

Received my order this afternoon. Quick shipping and delivery. But as per my order status, I ordered the 26" tenor, but received the 21" soprano. It is a beautiful piece and the sound is very clear, with a nice tone. Very playable to my novice hobbyist fingers. I would be willing to keep it but I would like a credit seeing as how I paid for the larger tenor.

This was a Christmas gift and it was well received. It’s a pretty instrument with a nice sound. Seems to be good value for the price.

I bought a satin finish tenor uke about a month ago. I was so disappointed because parts of the top were splitting and broke off after a day of playing. Customer service was great. They explained that there would be some unevenness because of the wood, bit I was concerned with the places where there were now holes (& not the sound hole!). I was able to get a refund & ordered the matte finish. This is a great uke. Plus, it looks great and has no obvious defects. The matte finish has the brand emblazoned on the head and a completely different inside label. Everything else is the same as the satin finish.The kit is great. The pre-installed strings are carbon strings, while the extra set is nylon. The nylon strings aren't labeled at all, so you'll have to look at the width to figure out which strings are G-A-E-C.One other thing to note: the strings are for re-entrant tuning, not low G.

Upon unboxing the instrument was in great shape, but when I went to use the tuner to tune it, either the tuner was defective or the battery was dead.I have been in touch with C.S. and they are sending me a replacement tuner.

Nice instrument for a beginner. Great sound! It is made of koa wood, but the color is not even close to what is advertised.
