Bought these originally to tether a few fishing items to my vest and the 2 that I'm currently using are holding up well. The wire isn't a metallic cable like some of my other tethers, but that was expected. Had to change out the buttoned clips for large and sturdy split rings, but that wasn't an issue.My original concern was the spring lock that secures the clip at the top, but they're holding up well so far. I really like the option of using the belt clip rather than the top clip, so the versatility is there. Would've liked to have seen a smaller profile, but what can you do.Each tether comes individually wrapped, so there wasn't a ding on any of them out of the box. A very decent product imo, and the extras should last me a while since I don't go fishing often. I'm sure I can use them for other things. But if you are going to purchase a set (this one or others), I might advise making sure there are no less than 3 included in the pack. None of the 5 I received had any outward issues, but it's always a toss-up isn't it. For tethering heavier items like large tools or heavy cases, go for something else with a metallic wire. Just my 2 cents. Good luck.
