The Model Y OEM lid does not detach but you insert this in the open hole and the previous lid stays open on the outside. It’s awkward but makes sense and works well. This saves the need of finding a funnel everytime. It seemed a bit tall but the hood closed ok

This silicone funnel was easy enough to install - I just opened the normal lid of the windshield wiper reservoir, inserted this funnel (pushing in the rubber edges all the way was only slightly tedious, but it didn't take longer than a couple minutes to get it in evenly and flush), and then plugged the whole with the attached stopper. A few days later on my first day off, I tested refilling my wiper reservoir and it was so much easier with this huge funnel instead of aiming for the hole of the reservoir.Keep in mind that this is designed to be kept installed all the time (hence the stopper/lid), and the frunk closed without any issues with this installed. I think this silicone funnel is a nice, inexpensive quality-of-life enhancement for my vehicle, and if you tend to use your windshield wiper fluid a lot, this will come in handy even more!

I didn’t know I really needed this until I saw it. It pretty much goes directly over your windshield wiper fluid hole. Once you fit it in, it has a cap in the center that you can pop on and off. Makes for adding windshield wiper fluid very easy. It’s meant to be kept in and the frunk closed properly. You don’t have to have it, but it’s pretty cool.
