I soldered a connection to my other IR receivers and the heat fried them up. I soldered a connection to this one and it works perfectly. The pack came undamaged and my sensor is working great. I'm thankful for the quality of the item for the price because my local store is charging $10 for only one of the same thing. If I ever need another sensor, I'm ordering from here.

Looks like a child tried to solder the IR receivers to the board while riding a rollercoaster. These can NOT be used with an ESP32 running WLED.

These modules work fine, but be careful how you wire them up - while the header pins connect directly to the TL1838 pins, they are in a different order (GND and VCC switched). The seller doesn't seem to know this and is responding to questions by copypasting (incorrect) pinout from the TL1838 datasheet. The module IMMEDIATELY fries if connected like this. I lost 2 out of 3 because I didn't hear it pop the first time and tried another module, thinking the first was DOA. Should have done meter testing first instead of trusting seller's responses.Correct pinout:- Pin marked - is GND- Center pin is VCC- Pin marked S is data

The sensor does not pick up on any signals.
