I was really surprised how well these were packaged for shipping. Each piece is the same size and thickness and worked perfect for attaching to driftwood. Drilling holes was easy.

I have mine down on the "floor" of my beardies tanks as an extension of their basking area. They seem to appreciate having the option of a slightly less hot basking spot. Also helps keep their nails trimmed somewhat. Anyways, if you want to use as your main basking slate, you might want to find one that's a little wider, but this is great as an addition.

both slates arrived in great condition, my tortoise loves eating on these, it keeps all substrate out of his food. definitely recommend

The feeding station is eat to clean the leftover food of off and prevents my tortoise from accidentally eating her bedding when it would fall out of the dish. The slate is pretty think and is sturdy

Using for bearded dragon but it doesn’t hold heat that well. I’ve heard of people using the cheese plates that are similar to this, but I don’t know how well they hold heat either.

I feel like if they packaged this product better they wouldn’t have so many breaking on them. I returned my broken one yesterday and ordered a replacement which arrived today. It is really beautiful and my turtles love it!

Love this for my tort! Exactly what I was looking for! It came perfect & it's more sturdy than I thought, I was worried because of other reviews. It's a slate stone, so it obviously has to be handled with some care. I'm ordering a second one now!
