if the lock is in the middle of the shell ,and you need to move the old one ,this product is a good solution
about the key
each t handle lock have 2 keys ,and all the key are alike ,if you buy more than one lock ,they have the same key,and have the same roation(clockwise)
installation
only with a screwdriver ,you can change the old lock and set the new one ,easy and fast
notice
:1-1/2"mounting posts distance, 1-5/8 shaft length. 90 rotation.clockwise to open
application of the product
the dust shield
each lock have a dust cover to protect the lock from dust and rain
central mounting hole
the central mounting hole should be larger than 5/8 inch ,so the lock will match the shell
the mounting bolt
each lock have 2 set of mounting bolt ,2 long ,2 short for different thickness of canopy
expanding the central mounting hole
if he central mounting hole is smaller than 5/8 inch,you will have to use a drill bit to shave out a bigger hole to match the lock
protection for the lock
the dust cover
the key hole have a dust cver and every lock have a additional rubber sleeves to protect the lock
without the cover
rain and dust will get into the lock ,and the lock will broke down and does not work
with the cover
the cover will protect the lock ,and ,the lock will use for a longer time

The locking handle fit perfect, it is a perfect replacement for the broken handle.

These fit absolutely perfect, be sure to save that back piece off your old one, (see 2nd picture)Used on a Snugtop Sportsmen camper shell.Both handles are keyed the same, which is convenient.The dust covers look nice, but if you lock and unlock your shell often you might opt to leave them off.

Great replacement lock and very carefully described by the vendor. Very happy with the fit and the rain bonnet. I've experienced several automotive locks blow apart due to freeze and thaw cycles. This cover seems to be great solution assuming the rubber cover holds up to the weather. As advertised, on time delivery.

It really is amazing this works at all at this price. while I absolutely do not trust it's corrosion resistance, blasting it with some WD40 every other week seems to be doing just fine. Easy to screw into place, or pop rivet on. Keys work as they should and it's still going strong on the truck a few months later.

I installed this on a Leer camper shell. I did have to enlarge the center hole to fit the lever but it was not difficult. This kit does not have the locking lever or the backing mount but I was able to use the old ones.The levers are both left and right and the 4 keys fit both locks.I would say this is a great product and a reasonable price

Ordered this to replace one with a faulty lock which wouldn't work anymore. Make sure you order the shaft length you need, although if you got a long shaft for a short shaft application you could just cut it to length. This lock set installed and worked very well. Thanks.

Ordered this single T Handle and a 2 pack for my used pickup topper with 3 lift doors. No backing plate is shown on the sale page, pictures or contents. The 2 pack was in a seperate listing from the same supplier. It came with only 1 backing plate. Now I will have to fabricate 2 two backing plates. Since the topper is quite old (made for a chevy luv) but fits my 98 Frontier fine for utility use.

i replaced the T handle locks on my Action truck cap. these were nearly perfect, but would have been better had new backing plates been provided.

Had to widen the middle hole on my leer cap . The locks fit fine and work well .
