The Beadsmith Opelon Cord is the perfect item to get started making jewelry. The elastic string is perfect for bracelet, necklace, beading and jewelry making. The flat fibrous material is a 0.7mm diameter as comes in several different lengths. The size is ideal for use with most seed beads, gemstones, glass beads, pony beads, etc. It is suggested to use a large eye beading needle, which are designed with a big hole in the middle of the needle that are easy to thread. No more worry about threading problems. Opelon has a surprising stretch and resiliency, great for anklets and other slip-on and flexible jewelry pieces. It is unbelievably strong, it knots easily and doesn't require crimps. The string is thin enough to be tucked inside the hole of a bead, hidden from sight. The flat structure give it greater flexibility than other stretch cord options and will not droop over time. This stretch cord is Latex free and is widely used in jewelry making and beading projects. This is my go-to cording for beaded bracelets. It’s easy to work with and has a good, strong stretch. Sometimes it frays, and it is more expensive than other cording. But I haven’t found a cord that is as easy to work with as this. Seems worth the price for the amount of bracelets I can make from it.

I’m currently making friendship bracelets for the Eras Tour, and this is by far my favorite string for my bracelets! It’s super stretchy and durable and I find that this type of string in specifically is perfect for working with very small seed beads. If you’re looking to work with larger beads then this string is probably not for you. However, if you’re working with smaller beads and are looking for something with more elasticity then this is perfect. So far I have made around 6 bracelets with this string and have had no problems.

This has a great stretch to it. I have noticed that the ends will fray with threading the beads. Making it a bit harder to get the elastic through the beads. Probably wouldn’t buy again once I’m done with it.

I love this product, but holy crap is it expensive! More than twice the price of anything else I've used. If it was cheaper, I'd use it for every bracelet I make but its way too pricey for that. I use a ton of stretch string so it would not be costly to use this for everything so I use it only for special bracelets now and then. Again, if it were a reasonable price, I'd use it all the time.

No comparison... Opelon brand is the only product for me. I bought and returned other brands that puport to be a stretch cord - they don't have the stretch, the cord breaks, and the end product doesn't keep its shape.

This is by far, the best stretch cord and allows me double back is I need to (saves me from going up to a larger diameter cord). And since I switched from Stretch Magic, my knot tying is so much easier! 50% of the time I don't even need to use glue. All my friendship bracelets for TSwizzle concert held up and many I exchanged from others did not.

Für meine Perlenbänder gibt es nichts besseres, oder ich habe etwas übersehen😊ich mache mir Armbänder sowie Fußkättchen, und ja gut, sie halten nicht ewig, aber ein paar Jährchen schon. Ich finde sie sehr angenehm zu Tagen und zu verarbeiten.

This is much easier to knot compared to the nylon thread. I use this to make bracelets.
