Our Shine Rite line of products was designed for polishing, brightening and removing tarnish from jewelry and other metal components. The Polishing Pads are made from tight bond cellular foam with permanently bonded micro-abrasives. The 2-inch squares are perfect for revitalizing smaller pieces and removing discoloration and tarnish by simply rubbing the metal surface to bring back the shine. Shine Rite works on silver, gold, brass, copper and platinum jewelry. It is recommended to avoid electroplated items and pearls. However, the pads work on crystals, coins, watches and other jewelry such as bracelets, necklaces and earrings. You can use these pads until they are dark grey on both sides and then you know it’s time to toss and use a new one. Please note that getting the pads wet will make them really sticky and gooey, and they will not work properly. Shine Rite is perfect for accessing recessed areas in your pieces, such as stamps and charms to highlight antique finishes, or removing oxidation, or patina from liver of sulfur. The small pads reach into spaces on contoured items and can even be used for cleaning your tools.

SHINE RITE:
The polishing pads work on gold, platinum and sterling silver. They can be used to restore brilliance to coins, rings, earrings, watches and more. It is recommended to use Shine Rite Polishing Cloths and Anti-tarnish Strips (sold separately) to further protect your pieces.

Our polishing cloths are great for jewelry making and those who want to keep their jewels in the best condition. They are great for metalsmiths and wire workers, who often clean metal pieces. Stampers mixed media artists will find these convenient as well.
EASY AND CONVENIENT:
These pre-treated 2" cleaning squares are made from tight-bond cellular foam with permanently bonded micro-abrasives. Simply use each cloth until completely soiled, then discard.

They put a nice polish on my metal jewelry. Remove dirt and tarnish. Not a sanding pad. Get into tight corners which I kove. Size it ideal, I carry one in purse for touch ups. Good value. Do not keep well if left outside tight bag, they tend to go sticky after 18 months.

These work well on light to medium tarnish. They are very handy at shows. 4 outa 5 bc they're a bit pricey for what they are.

Edit: 11/2024I was going through cleaning various items; brass, silver, aluminum, etc.I relooked at some pieces and the finish has been stripped away.DO NOT USE ON PLATED OR SUSPECTED PLATED PIECESNow some of my antique and vintage pieces are ruined.Not happy.------------------------------------------Since I'm not allowed to comment on the packaging per the review board, you be the judge. Product works great. Not crazy about how I received the product so 1 star docked.

I have used these little polishing pads a lot over the years and find they are excellent at getting a very good shine of the last part of polishing up metal or silver earring fittings etc., they are worth every penny as they save me a lot of work and I got these for a very good price from Amazon, I am delighted!ðŸ‘😊
