It’s perfect. It has drain holes (with plugs). Fits on railings perfectly. It’s stable and already makes it through a few high winds thunderstorms. It’s big enough to hold 2-3 plants and stylish!! Thank you I love it!!

These railing friendly flower boxes sit securely and are wide enough to contain a plethora of flowers that create a vibrant group of blooms. I was able to plant 8 good sized plants in each of 2 boxes with ease. The drain hole plugs are easy to remove, and the excess water drips on either side of the box overhang, preventing the water from sitting on the rail to rot or discolor the rail.My railing is wide, so the planter boxes sit a bit high. A narrower railing would let the flower boxes nestle around the railing and would be very attractive. That said, I am very pleased with the look, the sturdiness, and the outcome. Let the blooms begin!

Great for hanging over the railing of a deck or balcony made of 2x4 width.

After measuring the railing width to make sure it would fit, I ordered this planter. It's beautiful, sturdy and just the right color for our deck. I was worried that it wouldn't stay in place because of the two different railing spaces on the bottom but it's snug and doesn't rock at all. I think the secret is to make sure you measure your railing width before ordering. We did have to drill holes in the bottom to so the water wouldn't sit in the bottom and rot the roots of the plants. I'll be ordering more to fill the railings of our porch.

Bought these last Spring to put on my apartment balcony and as you can see in the pics, they are super cute! But I totally recommend, especially if your plants get a lot of strong sun (I’m on the 3rd floor here in Texas) to not take out all the drainage stoppers. There are 4 stoppers in each planter and I only needed to take out 1 stopper and just use 1 drainage hole. Using all 4 dried the plants out way too much in the hot sun. I found 1 drainage hole was the best, for me anyway!

It’s not very steady. I didn’t put dirt in it but it seems it would blow off in a good wind .I returned it as it was too expensive for a low standard product.
