This is an excellent book with lots of terrific stitches. If you are into Bargello or working large areas, the stitch combinations are wonderful.

This book is a treasury of needlepoint patterns that include, but are not limited to Bargello. For sheer volume of stitch patterns and uniqueness, this book has no rival in my collection. The charts are well drawn and of good size. They are accompanied by close-up photos that are a puzzling combination of color and B/W. There are also collections of color plates that are too small to use for stitch patterns, but do give the reader a good feel for the look of the patterns and color combinations. Perrone’s color choices have aged better than those in most books of this vintage, except the occasional but all too common 70’s plague of rust, harvest gold and avocado green. My copy is a cloth covered well bound hardback in a lovely deep purple. Well worth the search and price!

It's nice to have a variety of choices when designing a project. This book has great diagrams and directions and a good variety of types of stitches to choose from.

I have been looking for a book that gives you charts of repetitive patterns in needlepoint and bargello and this does just that. Well worth the money.
