I first discovered mylar discs like this years ago and they seemed like such an elegant solution to the ineviatable drip that happens whenever you pour a bottle of wine into a glass. Clunky, awkward pour spouts can also solve this problem but I've found that they don't always fit perfectly, are expensive and depending on the metallurgy can actually affect the taste of wine.These discs, like all of the mylar discs that I've used, are easy to insert, always have a tight fit, prevent dripping and are completely flavor neutral. They also have a very clean, unfussy look when they're inserted into the bottle. They're easy to clean, just run them under the faucet, give them a quick swipe with a dish towel and you're done!This inexpensive, simple solution is an elegant solution to an every day problem!

These are extremely helpful; making pouring easy and drip-free. They are very flexible, adapt easily to a variety of bottles, are very easy to clean which helps them last a long time. And they are very affordable: nice to include when gifting a bottle of wine, not earth-shattering if one is accidentally lost.

These things are great to avoid the little drips and drops caused by finishing a pour. I was recently in Italy and all of the finer dining establishments there use them. Can't be beat for the price!

If you leave this on the bottle overnight, the acid in the wine will start to etch/corrode the metal layer in the laminate over time. One night won’t kill your foil. But eventually your foil will fall apart. (That’s what happened to my old one.)But this kit has plenty of foils, so maybe that doesn’t matter.

. . . but you have to make sure they're correctly seated in the bottleneck: not too far out or they'll pop out when you pour (as on my first try), and not so far in they'll drop into the bottle. Once you get the hang of it -- the correct cone shape -- they work perfectly. Clever invention!

Tried these out today and thought "well golly, these really do work as well as they claim!" Simple to use, no drips (even with my shaky hands!), and way better than buying an expensive aerator just to keep the tablecloth clean. Would highly recommend!
