It works for the most part, but the paint scratches off easily. Most of the paint in the circle is gone and we’ve only had this thing for a month.

I don't have a cello or bass, but I do have a Navajo spindle. It's a type of spinning implement known as a support spindle because the end needs to be set on a surface, so that it spins without putting weight on the fibres being spun into yarn, preferably one which has a perimeter, so that the end of the spindle doesn't travel. This stays put, has a nice smooth surface which allows the spindle to spin easily, and does a great job of keeping the end of the spindle from wandering. It also works for small support spindles, although even the exceptionally well balanced ones may travel around a bit inside the endpin rest.

My daughter likes this style endpin rest for her Cello.. Does what it's supposed to do, and she likes the color choices.
