Best worm tower I've found. Easy to follow instructions, easy to set up and use. 4 stars instead of 5 because of price. It is too expensive for what it is. Best advice I have is don't love your worms too much. Don't look at them every day, they don't like to be disturbed. Don't over feed them. Do monitor soil ph and moisture content. Many have worm farms for composting and using worm castings for gardening, the rest of us raise big fat worms for fishing.

I’ve had this for a few months and it is working out amazing. Very easy to assemble and use. Comes with everything you need in order to get your worm farm started. I was missing one piece when mine arrived however, a quick phone call to the manufacturer, and they immediately shipped out the piece to me. Customer service was great! You will notice small insects that will become part of your ecosystem. That is normal. They are all part of the breakdown process of the foods inside. You can use the mesh Cloth that is provided to help keep them out if that’s something you do not want. I think the price is a little bit on the high side, however, it is a great product and I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another one. My worms have quadrupled just in the last few months of owning this system. There’s no smell at all coming from the unit. Don’t hesitate! Buy one you won’t regret it…

The Vermitek worm composter is a high quality product. Plenty of room to expand and sturdy, I found the instructions confusing as I received pieces that were not described in the instructions. Also the picture of the white opaque piece that fits into the composter lid was pictured upside down.Once I put the cover on my bin I got some mold growing. No harm done but mold should not happen. The setup instructions said to put a piece of cardboard in the bottom of tray #1. But no liquid can get to the liquid collection bin as cardboard absorbs it. The cardboard sheet also limited air flow. After watching a YouTube video I learned that the two thin white sheets of porous material are to use in place of cardboard to cover the bottom of tray #1. The other sheet goes under the first bin on top of the liquid collection bin. This allows the liquid produced to drain into bin with spigot while preventing worms from moving down or escaping as well as increasing air flow throughout the unit. Today I will switch out the cardboard. The other issue was the coconut coir brick took 2 days to break down. I used the claw scraper (provided) to pull off the wet outer layers so water could get to the dry coir. I used the coir that I got loose to set up first bin and let the rest of coir to soak overnight. I continued the soaking and scraping throughout the next day until the brick was completely loosened. I will add the rest of the coir as I redo the first bin today.I do recommend this product. I also recommend the Vermitek company update and clarify the instruction manual.

I got this to use in the garage, but my worms were not happy with the South Florida temperatures in the summer, so I moved it into the corner of the kitchen, where it continues to sit and look attractive. In fact, having it so near allows me to put in food and veggie leftovers easily. The resulting worm castings are beautiful and have made a real difference with my seedlings and transplants, in particular; and the garden in general. I had used cat litter boxes before, but they were difficult to harvest from. With the Vermihut I can take as little or as much worm castings from the bottom tray as needed and then move it to the top to start again. In fact I like this system so much I ordered 2 additional trays and just ordered and 8th tray, which I believe it the maximum.I'd recommend this for both the beginner or current vermicomposter.

This Composting worm bin was easy to set up. I didn't use the coco mat for the top because it doesn't smell. It's been easy to maintain. I dug up some worms from my yard a couple of weeks ago and they are doing great. I did have one worm try to escape but it wasn't a big issue. I simply put it back in the bin. The size is perfect. It comes with five trays. It's a great value for what I spent. Also my worms seem to be doing fine and are healthy

Es de fácil uso e instalación, muy útil para realizar la propia composta en casa y reutilizar los desechos orgánicos

I recently just changed the sheets of brown paper on top, to one single cut out of cardboard, this prevented the worms from getting trapped in between the sheets of paper. They truly do eat half their body weight in a day if they're environmentally happy. I keep coffee grounds from the capsules, and vegetable scraps from supper prep or leftovers in a Tupperware to freeze. Whatever the worms can't handle, gets frozen for later on. No such thing as food waste now. If you rough chop your leftovers they will make quick work of it. Especially bananas!

Its much smaller than I expected. The worms are not doing much, they eat nothing, after 3 months still not got any compost out of it. Overrated and Overpriced, I am now buying 50litre bags for £3 from garden shop.
