This bow is definitely better constructed than the bow that came with my cello â€œpackageâ€. But, a warning to beginning cello playersâ€¦ A good bow will not automatically improve your cello playing! Itâ€™s all technique on the right hand. My old cheap, sub $50 bow, sounds very similar to this very expensive, but well-made bow. I bought this to support the piano guys, and I would do it again.

I needed a lightweight bow because of a wrist injury, and this one filled the bill. The sound is not nearly as good as a heavier bow, but it works for those of us who need it. I'm glad I bought it.

We bought the Bruce model bow and it turned out to be lighter than expected but still able to draw a nice full tone. Much easier to play than the bow that came with our cello and also a 1k Pernambuco bow from Germany! Nice!

I ordered this for my daughter. She was quite impressed with it's lightweight, smoothness, and how much better it sounded compared to her current bow. The quality is also impressive as well as it looks really good. I highly recommend it.

Great bow! No complaints here. My son is using this bow for his cello in jr high. We had gone through three other bows beforehand. But he has enjoyed this one and I havenâ€™t heard any problems over the last six months that we have had it. Happy mom.
