This little ditty is a wonderful addition to any sewing kit! I am new to darning but I knew what I was looking for and this was it! It includes various needle sizes that are stored inside the mushroom (very handy!) and the top of the mushroom has a magnet so there isn't any fishing for needles or having to dump them all out to select one. I found this little kit very practical and useful for darning socks. It seems sturdy and high quality. I used a rubber band from some wrapped produce to secure the sock in place. A hairband or any rubber band would work as well. And it's cute! Happy darning!

This mushroom is a game changer for darning socks. The shape of the mushroom is much easier to fix my socks and the handle makes it easy to move the sock around. It's nice that it includes darning needles. But for the sake of clarity I only use Chibi needles for repairing and weaving in ends. I will use the needles included with the mushroom for lifelines, etc.

And how can you mend without the right tools?? This lovely wooden darning mushroom will last you your whole life, and you’ll be that old dude who can fix anything, and you’ll have pretty patches on all your well-loved clothes and everyone will love you.

I have a lot of wool and cashmere sweaters, so it seems I am always mending!!! This makes seeing and working on little holes so much easier!!!! I can do an almost invisible mend now!!

The mushroom cap seems good. The needles look useful and quality. However, I am sorely disappointed the screw-on handle is mismatched. It doesn’t tightly screw onto the cap because it was made too small for the hole it inserts into. I don’t trust storing the needles inside a loose fit.

The darning mushroom arrived without any packing slip however the item was in good condition and the sewing surface is really smooth. This will aid in the mending/weaving stitching. The very nifty needle container in the stem of the mushroom is a great idea and the magnet makes for much easier selection of the correct needle. Very pleased with this purchase.
