Cartridge filters are mandated by my local code (water conservation cited as reason). Cleaning them is a messy pain and is never 100 percent effective -- and in my estimation consumes just as much water as backwashing DE. This product increases the effectiveness and reduces the time it takes. Be sure to note that, aside from broad cleaning via the arc of streams, the spot where the streams collide is also nicely intense for spot cleaning.

Definitely cleaned out some algae that the standard spray nozzle did not, and it did it much quicker. It made a big difference when I put the filters back in and started the pump back on. The quality is good, there is a shutoff valve on the handle which is useful if you want to change out the flosser part for a standard sprayer which I used the clean the tank. I was apprehensive about using this because I didn’t know if it worked any better than a sprayer but for me it did.

This cleaning wand works amazing! The difference between cleaning with just the hose and cleaning solution and cleaning with the wand jet by itself was night and day. If cleaned it quickly and efficiently. The value for the Money is quite good. The filter is definitely bound to last longer as it is cleaned better.

It works amazing to clean between all of the filter fins. I dropped it while screwing it onto his and it broke the on/off right off! The whole thing seems to have great build quality but the on/off is made out of cheap plastic with a rubber cover.

This filter cleaner for the end of your hose to clean pool/spa filters is a life saver!! It cuts the time to clean filters in half! And I also feel it gets the filters cleaner than just a regular hose nozzle. Definitely recommend if you have to clean pool/spa filters.

Normally I clean the filter with a garden hose and standard nozzle. That does a good job of flushing solid junk off the filter, and does a decent job of turning the filter white again (at least in the exterior edges), but it really lacks at getting between the pleats and cleaning the insides. So when I saw this, I thought that was going to be the answer to my problem!It wasn’t.Honestly, there isn’t enough pressure to clean the insides of the pleats and get them white(ish) again. While the standard nozzle does a great job of getting the exterior edges of the pleats white, this doesn’t even do that. I got it specifically hoping it would do a better job of getting into the pleats, but it even fails at that. It rinses them clean of the solid stuff, but in no way comes close to getting the insides white(ish) again as they elude to in the pictures.I had high hopes for it, but they fell flat. I did the first half of the filter with this, before giving up and switching back to the standard nozzle.Standard hose nozzle just does a better job, and quicker. The only way this uses 50% less water is if you just give up on cleaning the filter early and call it good enough. Lots of promises on the package and in the description, but they don’t really live up to any of them. We’ll, You do get 3 really ineffective angles to clean with…so I guess that one they live up to.On the positive side, the build quality looks to be solid and durable. Unfortunately that’s the only thing positive I can say about it. Nice gimmick, but save your money.
